Beautiful chevron fireplace cover!
This fireplace cover complemented my living room very well - as other reviews stated, the finishing is not a solid gold. Rather, it's a mix of brass/silver colors. We prefer it this way so it looks less in-your-face. I would recommend it, since you can easily spray paint it a different color if you wanted to.

Great design and size but terrible finish
I loved the modern design and gold finish the second I came across it. The size is perfect for the larger than average sized opening of my fireplace. But when I got it, I was very disappointed to find the finish rather ""unfinished"". If you're expecting an even toned gold, you won't get it. It didn't appear this way online so it's probably a factory issue which leads to a quality control issue in my book. I'm keeping it though because of the size and design but will need to fork over another $5 for a can of gold spray paint.

Uneven paint, few globs found on parts of the screen that are difficult to remove without chipping off paint.
