These side steps were a great investment! Great quality and looks. We no longer have to "jump" into the pickup. My husband has mentioned several times how much he likes them and appreciates having them. He was so impressed with how easy to they were to install. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's always a leap of faith to order anything on line. You are wonderful to work with and we will definitely order from you again ?????????
I could have built these myself but I didn't have time and I wanted running boards right now! They look as good as advertised and installation was a breeze. It took 1 1/2 hours to install, it would have taken 10-20 hours to build from scratch so I am happy with them. If you like the look, can look at pictures and figure out what you are looking at, and have some common sense and hand tools, I recommend these. If you like the look and lack the rest, pay someone to install them for you.
LOVE, love, love these running boards. I had them powder coated a different color to match my truck. I have not had them thru the snow seasons yet, but the mud I have gotten on them comes off easy, and I can scrap my feet on them before I get in my truck to keep the mud out of the inside of my truck. Easy to install, instructions were GREAT.
I formerly owned Dee Zee steel rough steps which suffered significant rusting from New Hampshire winter driving (salt). The aluminum ones have three mounting brackets, rather than two for the steel, and were easy to attach to my F250.
I really like these running boards ! needed steps that would handle the mud and dirt of motorcycle dirt-bike riding. They were easy to install on my 2015 Silverado 2500HD
I was able to install both running boars in less than 2 hours. I had to ignore the poorly written directions and follow my instincts since the directions confused me more than helped me. The quality is great and they look exactly expected.
The thing we like the most about this running board is the open-hole design, letting the snow fall through and not get inside our vehicles. Also, just as important is the way the surface of the running board has many small pieces of metal sticking up, giving it a great grip on our shoes. No ice can build up on the openwork metal. We had to make our own extension brackets for our van and our truck, but it was worth the extra work. We feel really safe stepping onto this running board. Keep selling them!
I love these ice and slush will never be a issue. Now, I must warn you the installation instructions SUCK! I spent as much time trying to figure them out as putting them on. The fastening hard ware is nothing special and almost works out well. The kick panel to running board bolts don't have enough clamp force to keep the running board from sagging when you step on them. I has to re drill them and install 1/2" bolts, that resolved the sagging. Their a bit longer than the cab allowing me, a short guy access to the bed a great feature. If you use you truck for work or don't like slipping and falling on your butt when you step out on the running board, you'll appericate these.
These floorboards are all business. The tread is great for mud and snow, sharp for shins and bare feet though. Love the way they look and they don't hang to low to be in the way (no clearance issues. I'm very happy with this purchase, wouldve rated a 4 if they were cheaper.
The brackets came with parts missing, and it took two weeks to rectify the order The brackets for a 2016 Ram were easy to install except for the driver's side front bracket. There is a truck part blocking it. I had to cut the bracket down to fit. I have the tools and ability, and pictures if you're interested. Jon
