Picky

Anonymous January 15, 2026

🤔I washed and cleaned some dried beans. I cooked the beans to tender, and added the dried onions, and celery, Be careful because these dried vegetables absorb the water in the pot. I was pleasantly surprised the onions gives off, a sweet taste to the celery, but the dish taste good, on a bed of rice. This is a convenient way of having celery and onions handy for a nice soup when you need it🤓

Perfect Ingredient for Big Mac Sliders at Home

Luvs2Climb January 4, 2026

It was recommended on a viral video to use these rehydrated onions on my homemade Big Mac sliders. Along with well seasoned ground beef and authentic Big Mac sauce (no ketchup), this was the perfect touch. We make them once a week now. But I discovered how fabulous they are in meatloaf, omelets, soups and stews. Really convenient staple to always have on hand. Love : )

They smelled so great and tasted so good in my breakfast frittata I think they go well and taco tacos, scrambled eggs, eggs, and they smelled really really good. Looks really really good.

One of the best rehydration onion I've used in years. Planing on reordering them again instead of buying bag onions 🧅 as much, plus the shelf life is excellent.

Good flavor and handy to have.

Wayne January 14, 2026

Tastes much like the onions on some fast food burgers. Some of the family like them for that reason. Blend in when cooked in soups and simmered foods.

Better than throwing leftover in garbage

Kristin January 7, 2026

I am cooking for one so if I buy an onion a large part of is usually ends up in the garbage. This seemed like the best way to go. Price is not bad and quality is good. Now I have onions when I need them.

Canned onions

Willie January 16, 2026

Good taste at a good price. I prefer these cause it just me and I can't use a whole fresh onion without them going bad. These last me forever and they taste good.

I ALWAYS have them on hand

Terryll September 4, 2025

Could they be cheaper? Yes, but still worth it. I'm on my second can of these. I live alone, and it's hard to use up my fresh produce before it goes bad. And while I will chop and freeze onions, the dehydrated ones take on a sweetness and are so darned convenient. It's a pleasure to just add a handful to my cooking and not have to chop. They last forever if you keep them dry.

Probably best to find a different option

TribbleMama January 3, 2026

There is a smell and taste to these I can't easily get past. The only way I've been able to eat these onions once rehydrated is to fry them. That will mostly cover the taste/smell. The idea is good. But these fell far short of my expectations. Aside from the taste/smell, there are lots of bits from the solid root base of the onions that stand out when rehydrated. (Even some bits that appear to be pieces of roots themselves.) And several bits of the veiny-looking very top of the onion. So much so that it doesn't seem as if this consisted of whole onions, but more like they took out the middle half of the onion and this is the chopped up remains of the top and bottom quarters. For reference, this is basically what you get when you buy the shakers of dried chopped/minced onion. Though I never noticed that distinct (yet hard to describe) smell/taste in those before, or the poor quality in any of those. So it's probably best to stick with those. This isn't the deal it appears to be.
