I definitely recommend Del Monte Citric Salad with Red Grapefruit in the plastic jar. I love fresh citrus fruits and grapefruit. The Citric Salad with Red Grapefruit is so delicious! I love to eat it as part of my breakfast but it’s really good anytime!
This is the best food product that I've ever gotten from Wal-Mart. It is so refreshing and tasty and a super pick me up.. The Juice is also super great also. Don't change a thing except LOWER the Price. The Pink Grapefruit is also great, just not quite as good as the Citrust Salad We tried the Pineapple but didn't care for it,' will not purchase it again '
I love this item. You can eat this alone as a snack ,or a side item, or to make s a fruit salad. I would also like for you to keep this item in stock. I haven’t been able to add to my grocery order from you in weeks. You have offered options to buy, but you are charging an outrageous amount for this item.
I've lived this since I was a child. I love citrus fruit, and these sections look like jewels to me. I serve it with cottage cheese or ricotta on lettuce leaves. Caesar dressing and some freshly ground black pepper is good. Maybe a bit of shaved parmigiana cheese.
Makes a really good treat on hot days. A couple of pieces in a bowl with some frozen yogurt and it hits the spot. The syrup can be used for other things once the fruit is gone. The container is not very sturdy. Had them crack twice during deliveries but the fruit itself is good.
This is a staple item in my house. It's hard to keep fresh fruit on the fridge and this is a healthy alternative for my husband that is a diabetic. No sugar added, a refreshing taste great for a quick breakfast or a snack. A great value for the money!
Although I do love this fruit salad because it makes for a great breakfast when served with some buttered toast I don't think I will buy it again only because it's very difficult for me to get it opened the first time because the lid is large and my hand barely fits over the lid and it's very tight and hard to twist opened. I had to ask my neighbor to open the jar for me , but I don't want to bother my neighbor with silly things like opening jars for me .. that being said if you have no problems opening jars then I highly recommend this delicious citrus salad.
This is a sweet and slighlty tart mixed citrus salad. I eat it over cottage cheese or just have a refreshing chilled bowl of fruit as a snack. My Dr told me not to eat grapefruit, at the same time , as i i take any medication, especially heart medicine. The citric acid can break down medication, which can damage and ruduce the dosage. FYI: WALMART EDITION OF THIS MIX, CONTAINS ORANGES, WHERE AS MOST OTHERS, DO NOT.
This product is labeled “NO SUGAR ADDED“ in medium sized print, highlighted with a blue banner just under the name of the food “CITRUS SALADl (in large print). I am (now) assuming means no cane sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. Is that correct? I wanted real, unadulterated Grapefruit slices with NO SUGAR AND NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS EITHER. Only to find in small print “IN ARTIFICIALLY SWEETENED WATER”. The taste pretty good at first. But about 3 bites in the taste of artificial sweeteners is very evident. After you taste it you can’t UN-taste it! YUK! Into the trash it goes.
This citrus salad sounds promising at first—no sugar added and a big jar—but it falls short in a few key ways. The plastic container isn’t ideal for storage or the environment, and the ingredient list is longer than it should be. For something that should just be fruit, there are too many unnecessary additives and preservatives. At this price point, it should be better quality and have cleaner ingredients. If you're looking for a simple, wholesome fruit option, this probably isn't it. You're better off buying fresh or frozen citrus and skipping the extra stuff altogether.
