This barbacoa beef comes fully cooked in a sealed bag within a heat up container for the microwave. It is literally as delicious as the barbacoa beef used by "Burrito Bowel" restaurants to make the burritoes and burrito bowels. Very happy to have found this product. We also use it to make tacoes. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND
My only question is why is it expensive 🫰 like everything else? Stop gouging guys, minimum wage is still cheap and probably always will be. Lower the cost to $6 at the most. Otherwise, it tastes great, I made 4 sandwiches with this small amount of product but I guess that's still cheaper than going out to eat. 😞
This Barbacoa is so yummy for lunch or dinner. It's actually really great if you like Barbacoa I would say it makes about eight or nine tacos in this one pack so if you plan to make more definitely by multiple. my family really enjoyed this. You can also add some cilantro and onion to the tacos to make it even better
This is a traditional tasty beef barbacoa that is perfect for lunch or dinner, served with pinto and jalapeño beans, warmed corn or flour tortillas and garnished with chopped white onions, scallions, cilantro and slices of radishes.
It was very decent. I really like the flavor, thou the texture was a bit much for this austitic palete. Overall, I think their better beef products that are easier to cook and have better texture, but I believe if you already like shredded beef, it a winner. But I still say it 4 stars, I don't regret buying it, it was a great experince. I just have better ones with different styles of precooked beef.
Excellent flavor, $10.00 for 2 servings. .Barbacoa is soupy by design. By measurement there was 1 cup of liquid and a scant cup of meat including the fat covering which adds flavor but which we dont eat. Youll need to add starch to stretch this for two, like chochoyotes (what ever your family calls masa dumplings) or rice or beans, even potatos in a pinch. Have used this as a base for max 4 people in rice bowls if your very generous with rice and beans and corn and everything else plus condiments but 3 would be the preferred no. Of rice bowls
This is not like regular barbacoa, it's not oily and full of fat flavor, it's in a tomatoey Mexican spiced sauce, the texture is more like shredded roast or shredded beef, not soft like true barbacoa, very disappointed in that, when You're expecting barbacoa it's not..... however it did taste good in tacos and I also made a shredded beef enchilada casserole with it as a test in the flavors are good it's just not your typical barbacoa so don't expect that.
My palate did not connect w/this item plus, too little amount f/the price. Tasted nothing like any babacoa I've ever eaten anywhere. I'd @the samex recommend it as this is my personal review %26 other's will have opposite opinions thus, my review shouldn't sway any1's desire to try this or any other item I may not agree with.
This was my first time ever trying barbacoa and I was really disappointed. The tub says 15 oz, but there's maybe 5 ounces of actual beef in it — the rest is a thin, watery red sauce. The meat was bland, not spicy at all, and the liquid was so runny you couldn't even make a sandwich without the bread turning soggy. For $10.98, I expected a lot more meat and a lot better flavor. Definitely not worth the price.
Well, first of all it looked more like beef stew without the vegetables and it actually tasted closer to beef stew and meat used felt like it was stew meat too. It wasn't cheek meat. Barbacoa should just be pretty much plain maybe salt but it's just cheek meat. No, it's not no gravy no sauce definitely won't buy that again.
