First off, I am an olive lover. With that said, I am kinda picky about my olives and olive products and I must say this mix has an excellent blend of different olives and just the right amount of spices added in along with a little feta and oil. Each ingredient complements the others so well I can not get enough of it. I have added to salad, topped fresh baked baguettes, eaten it straight out of the container - it's just that good. If you like olives and a good strong flavor, I think you'll really enjoy this mix!
This contains multiple ingredients, each with very strong flavors on their own. I recommend this for adding to a lettuce-based salad, and use a very neutral dressing, if any (it doesn't need any more). I love all its ingredients individually, but I needed to tone it down with some bland items,
Made a delicious pasta salad with this. I also added some salami, chopped pepperoncinis, and a little Italian dressing to the oil. My husband loved the pasta salad, and he usually does not like pasta salad. I also added this to a family lettuce salad for dinner. Again, my husband loved it. This is too oily for me to eat as a snack.
It's delicious. I love that it's convenient to throw some on salads, meats, pastas, crusty breads. It can be a challenge to get enough good oils coming in and I like the nicer skin and hair this helps with. They're visually stimulating … and delicious. Lol
This is absolutely so delicious! I wish I could buy it in containers that were double or triple the size. Perfect for snacking, whole meal (I added it to a lot of my dishes, since it is already perfectly seasoned and marinated) and it always gets polished off completely at parties or dinners. I love to drizzle balsamic glaze over the top… Chef kiss!
I am used to buying the fresh olive tapenade from Trader Joe's. However it's not as convenient for me to get to TJs as it is to Walmart. So I decided to try this. It's almost as good as the tapenade. I prefer it with Ritz crackers. Lately I've been eating a lot of it with some really good deli turkey, cheese, and tomatoes and making a meal of that. And of course the Ritz crackers. I'm usually a Triscuits gal but for olives you need Ritz.
The black olives were/our slightly, chewy I would say. Otherwise, this was /is extremely. Tasty! A great blend of flavors here which even though it's initially very oily, but that actually helped using it as a base for delicious pasta salad.😋 I'll definitely be re-ordering it before the summer‘s out 😋
Grab a package of this and a bag of fresh bread and viola, dinner for one is done. You can even make a bowl of salad greens and use as a topping. The oil and spices that keep the olives and feta fresh is perfect with a lemon wedge for the salads dressing
I would have given this five stars if they had used olive oil instead of canola. The cheese is good, the herbs and flavor are excellent and the olives are good as well. I would buy this again. I made a greek salad with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. Nice!
If you make Mediterranean food then you need to use Mediterranean INGREDIENTS! Why substituting Olive oil with God-knows-what Oil!? The other ingredients are fine but the taste of oil ruins the whole thing, i wouldn't be buying this again unless they use real cold-pressed olive oil.
