The mouse functions okay, BUT the scroll wheel is covered in a rubber-like material (vinyl?) that will begin to break down within just a couple of years and become STICKY (like old oil residue around a kitchen stove or exhaust vent). This makes the wheel decidedly unpleasant to touch. Cleaning with Simple Green or rubbing alcohol may reduce the stickiness temporarily, but does not seem to get rid of it entirely. For this reason, I do NOT recommend this model for businesses, schools, or other organizations with more that a few computers.
