got for my son for christmas he loves it

Got this for my sons birthday and its a beauty. Its his first gaming computer and he loves it. Got the call after it was delivered from the company. Rayn has great customer service.
Bought for Christmas for my oldest and it didn't work. At first it powered on but had said it was fixing itself and stayed like that for a few hours. Then it wouldn't turn back on. Messaging was fast, still don't have product fixed but that is due to my tardiness.
The monitor that I received has very visible scratches and chips. Also seems to have a scratch on screen.
The unit was advertised as dell, but that was only the cpu. The keyboard and monitor were different brands and appeared used.
I purchased this "restored" PC as a gift for my 9 year old son for Christmas. It was the only gift he put on his list. Initially, all was good. Package arrived on time (I purchased a month before Xmas and did not open the package until Christmas day). The system worked well at first, though my son complained some of his downloaded games were "laggy". I understood that the system may not have the capability to handle all games so I depriortized that complaint. What I could not overlook, however, was the system would periodically not recognize its own hard drive. The first few times a reset was needed to correct this. Eventually, we got to a point where a reset would not work. I contacted the company in early February to advise of this issue. To their credit, they responded right away. Unfortunately, their response went to my spam folder, and I did not notice that for a couple weeks. Once found, I responded with a screenshot of the error message. The response was the PC is no longer under the 90-day warranty, and they could not entertain a replacment. They offered instead to help troubleshoot the issue. When I pointed out that my initial claim with them was within the warranty period (with screenshots to support), they reiterated they could no longer handle under warranty. This does not sit well with me and my only saving grace (hopefully) is I purchased an extended warranty, through Amazon/Allstate. I will see how that claim is handled. I write this review just to caution other parents looking to purchase their child's first PC at a lower cost, Refurbished may not be the way to go in the long wrong. I appreciate reviews to help make informed decisions and did not expect, from the reviews shared already, that my son would be without his PC just 2 months after he received it on Christmas.
Terrible. Please do not waste your money. Blue screened from the moment we booted it up. Purchased it for Christmas last year and it stopped working by July. Needs a complete overhaul. Not even worth the money spent on it. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT PURCHASE!
I got this as a Christmas to my son. So computers is the worst with their customer service. It's my opinion that they believe they can not be wrong and they know everything. I will not ever make another purchase through this company.
I'd like to return this item. It doesn't work. I plugged it up and it's stuck on reboot. I need a refund
