Very handy coffee maker

BigBinAZ August 29, 2013

Sure, this one makes the same black liquid as the others, but what is different about coffee makers in this price range? One thing that is different about this one is how you pour the water in. You open the brew basket tray and there is a large trough that opens out to the front, so you can pour the water in. This unit can be placed at the back of the counter-top and stay there, rather than pulling it out to pour the water into some small orifice on the top, like most coffee makers. We had this same model for about 4 years before we gave it to my son (only after we found we could get another one). One last thing. I saw another post that mentioned the error in the item listing. The DCF112 is not a programmable model. The heading says this is the DCF112, but everywhere else in the listing, it says that it is a DCF2212T. The other poster and I got the programmable DCF2212T. I had it delivered to the store and I made sure that it was the correct model, before taking delivery.

An affordable replacement for my Bunn Coffee maker

mrmunchies August 8, 2013

Read all the various reviews on many coffee makers. I start with the worst and work up. If you believe all the bad things said about all coffee makers you would never buy one. I finally picked the DeLonghi because its easy to add water and can set the time for the coffee maker to start. Nice way to wake up. Also got it on clearance. My wife is a happy camper with this Coffee maker. So if the wife is happy then I'm happy. My favorite complaint is "makes poor tasting coffee." If your coffee is tasting bad its not the coffee maker. They all operate about the same. Try a different brand of coffee. My wife mixes 2 different brands of coffee she likes and adds a shoot of cocoa. Just as good, if not better as our old Bunn that died. On durability I gave 4 stars. Nothing personal. Everything is made of plastic now a days. Had no problems.

Better than expected

Dontmakemechooseuniquenom July 7, 2013

The model NUMBER, DCF112, in the ad is for the model that is NOT programmable, just an on and off switch. However we received, as per the description in the ad, the model that IS "programmable". So don't be afraid to order it. It is not a bait and switch sale. We were very relieved about that as we were replacing that exact model, the DCF212T. We loved the Delonghi we had for 3 years because you don't have to pull it out from under the counter to fill the water tank or coffee grounds. It also has the "Aroma" program which brews slower to get more flavor out of the grounds. We've had this new one for 2 weeks now and it is working just fine. Nice hot coffee.

bought because of our reviews

Nadine July 7, 2013

I bought this particular coffee pot because of other great reviews and it hasn't dissapointed, Actually it is better. You get to everything from the front instead of the top which is great.

I bought a kerig cup coffee machine almost three years ago.... it cost $100.00 bucks and I loved it very much. But t was time for a change. I did not want to spend another 100.00 bucks! so I went on Wal-Mart.com, saw the DeLonghi, read the reviews, decided to try it myself. I love it! So far I don"t have any complaints! I don't i'll ever go back to that other $100.00 coffee machine!

Good Choice

luniquelee August 5, 2013

I had to replace a Hamilton Beech coffee pot purchased only a few months ago from Amazon because that contraption had too many design flaws to even mention. This one fits under the cabinet perfectly, works great and, of course, filling from the front is a great advantage.

Great machine. Great tasting coffee......aroma selection does what it says. Easy to get to permanent coffee filter and easy to clean. Have had this machine for about a week . No bad comments from this coffee drinker!

Great maker for the price

bamagal65 August 31, 2013

I had a Krups for years and years and it finally stopped working. I could not afford an expensive coffee machine at this time. I read reviews on a lot of makers on the WalkMart site and this maker had good reviews and a sale price that I could not pass up. I have been very pleased with the maker so far. I love the fact that you do not have to pull it out from the wall to add water.

Not worth the price

MissLPN July 15, 2013

Not very happy with this coffee maker. I read nothing but positive reviews and couldn't wait to receive it but automatically did not like the setup. The top is strange where you pour the water and the handle that you have to pull out is very tight and it sticks. Also, it drips coffee all over the counter while brewing. Very disappointed in DeLonghi... I have a toaster oven from them for years and it works great. I will be returning this and buying a less fancy pot like Mr. Coffee.

Did not work

Coffeedrinker7 July 22, 2013

It did not work properly. I ran a pot of water through it to clean it before I used it and it took 1 hour and 27 minutes to empty the reservoir. Then it only put 4 cups of water in the pot. I have no idea where the water went, but it didn't leak out. I took it back and got my money back.
