Delsey Paris Montrouge 25" Expandable Spinner Upright

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel a lot for work and for pleasure and luggage plays an important role in that travel. I can say without a doubt that the piece of Delsey Paris luggage “Montrouge” I purchased recently is the best travel luggage I have owned. I specifically like the design and workmanship especially their unique very heavy duty double zipper. This is the first four duel wheel piece I have owned and I like it a lot. Rolls real smooth and again appears to be quite rugged and well built. If travel is a big part of your life style, I'd highly recommend adding Delsey Paris luggage to your travel toolbox.

Definitely a proud Delsey fan; have many pieces and find the luggage just gets "gooder and gooder." Have never been disappointed & most always receive compliments when traveling with Delsey products. November 2019 will be 1st use with this MONTROUGE that was at an irresistible price. Aesthetically, the look and feel of the black fabric complemented by all the gold hardware trimmings left me speechless, yet smiling. Luggage is so classy, spacious, functional and just beautiful down to the internal removeable, washable lining that is on both sides of the luggage and zips closed to keep packed items secure. Nicely sized internal zip pocket. Quite spacious outer zip pockets. Ladies, bottom line, you will not be disappointed and will feel as classy as this luggage looks! Thot the travel make-up case would fit & not take up much space, but not so. Believe make-up case designed for independent use.

MONTROUGE 25" Expandable Spinner: Beautiful and Feminine! However, the pretty gold zippers were challenging to get around the reinforced corners which are actually a wonderful feature of Delsey. (I needed husband's assistance to zip and unzip). The soft zipper tabs on the front were a sought out feature at time of purchase since we had lost a hard zipper tab on husband's Delsey due to careless airport handling only after two trips). Incredibly spacious if you're a fan of the split book opening. This was my first experience with one and it isn't for me. (I hope to exchange this suitcase for the Brochant 23" Spinner or the Hyperglide 25" Expandable Spinner~still deciding). The suitcase was comfortably packed for a one week stay that included 3 pairs of shoes and tolietries with enough room to bring home travel purchases. A carry-on for additional items was not needed. It was easy to manuever in airport but awkward to load in vehicle if you're under 5' 2. I have always been very pleased with Delsey's quality and features. If this suitcase did not have the split book opening I would give it 5 stars and keeping it.

I've used this piece twice in a months's time since I purchased it. Overall it's a nice piece of luggage. Very stylish with a silky type exterior. I bought the blue/green so it was easier to find in a group setting. A couple dislikes include the interior compartment zippers. I expected them to be more durable and substantial. They are fairly small, plastic zippers that have already become misaligned when zipping. It would be great to have some elastic 'give' on each side of the zipper to allow for over packing without worrying about the zipper breaking or coming misaligned. The second non preference are the exterior pockets. They worked for flat shoes and extra hangars and paperwork as well as last minute small things I forgot to put inside (such as a hair brush) but otherwise they have minimal expansion room and aren't the most useful. The spinners are excellent and roll fabulously. The handle is sturdy. I like that I can pack it then zip it up then use the exterior expansion zipper on the outside giving myself a form of compression if need be. I also liked that after I had the interior compartments zipped up, I was able to place a sweater in between the two sides and then zip it up making it easy to access without having to worry about everything else getting all messed up when I opened the suitcase to retrieve the sweater. I used packing cubes but am wondering if they are necessary with the interior zippered compartments. I did use some compression and non compression cubes that allowed for squeezing out as much space as possible but with there being NO give on the interior compartments, you have to be careful with the interior zippers. I would recommend this luggage but note that I have reservations about the interior enclosed compartment zippers. An upgrade on those with some give would help me feel more confident that the zippers would hold up to normal use (yes, almost everyone I know over packs!)
