I am a 22 year old woman who just happens to be pretty handy and I figured this valve out in about 20 minutes. I'm convinced the people who are complaining about installation instructions are only partially reading or really shouldn't be doing anything that involves trade work... Delta makes the easiest valves to use on the market.

Its an expensive piece and I wish the diverter came with the faceplate for the price. The system works but would be better if everything was included.

We're having the same issue, as some here. The water temp is not hot enough for me and we also turned it up as hot as it can go. The water is luke warm at best. What can we do to fix this without having to punch a hole in the wall to replace it?

First, there's only two mounting brackets for the rough body itself and they are about an inch apart in the center of the valve. It can not support itself by what is provided and the excess weight of this particular combo valve. On the opposite wall I have a R10000-UNBXHF universal valve that has mounting brackets further apart, and on opposite corners which makes it so much more stable. The R22000 should have at least 4 because of the size and weight. Second, the rough in box, part number RP84875 only has one screw to hold it to the valve body. The trim attaches to the rough in box. ARE YOU KIDDING ?! How stable will the trim be when the rough in box isn't ? Take it from a plumber of 25 years. I've had to improvise to make sure this valve and trim stays on the wall for the next 10 years.

poor instructions, they say nothing on how to pipe a tub spout, why not a simple piping diagram, sound like we should know the trim package before piping. Is there a different stem available using the valve for just 2 functions [ hand held and shower head] we plugged the left port?

I just installed this valve in a shower. I cannot find in the instructions anywhere that states you cannot use the right side port for the hand held shower. You must use the left side, even if the shower opening is to the left. Then, you have to run your water supply pipe out to the left, back behind valve, and over to the right side. I did not get this until after I spent hours taking apart the diverter insert to see if it could be switched. There is a diagram showing diverter water flow in the manual, but the the manual does not state you can't use right side port. So of course you want to trouble shoot to see why. Second, the plastic cover is indeed very flimsy. Third, you have to install nipples into the drop ears and cap them off to install the testing plugs. There is no viable mud guard for tile installation. So if you are installing this item, make sure you add many hours to your estimate.

Had a plumber instal this about 6 months ago. It worked for a while. Now, regardless of position the unit expels water from all three heads outlets at once. Making it seep and have very low pressure from all three
