Christmas gift for son-in-law. The pan itself is heavy enough to perform well, not flimsy. I think it will do the job.

It IS a Demeyere!
I love poached eggs, and I love Demeyere cookware. But smaller pans tend to be pricier than the larger ones I already had. Demeyere is a lifetime investment, not just pots and pans you throw out whan you want a change. The only thing to throw away is all your metal untensils that could scratch wonderful, best-quality stainless.\nSo, I bought this Resto poacher mostly for heating small quantities of other dishes, and I love it. It holds its own right next to my 7-ply Demeyere Atlantis, and I wouldn't part with it. \n
