Demons Souls (PlayStation 5)

This remake is visually stunning. The environments feel alive (and haunting), from fog-covered castles to eerie underground tunnels. The lighting, sound design, and attention to detail make every area immersive in a way that genuinely feels next-gen. Combat is deliberate and unforgiving. Every encounter requires patience, timing, and a willingness to learn from failure. That's part of the appeal—but also the biggest barrier. If you're not into trial-and-error gameplay or losing progress after a mistake, this can feel frustrating fast.

As a player who prioritizes technical performance and hardware optimization, I am incredibly impressed by how this game runs. The graphical fidelity on the PlayStation 5 is stunning and pushes the hardware to deliver a truly amazing visual experience. The lighting and textures bring the dark and unforgiving atmosphere to life perfectly. I highly recommend using the performance mode because it maintains a remarkably smooth frame rate. This fluid performance is absolutely essential for the precise combat mechanics. I also really appreciate the incredibly fast load times. The solid state storage optimization makes dying and retrying much less frustrating when you can jump right back into the action without any delay. If you enjoy games that maximize hardware capabilities while delivering a deeply challenging experience, this is a brilliant choice.

played the original and with this being the remake. its a masterpiece! still on of the best looking and performing ps5 games to this date!

Demon's Souls is a difficult game, to be expected as its original developers were Fromsoftware. While I can't speak for how the remake compares to the original (I did not play it in PS3 days) the remake is a solid game that looks beautiful on the PS5 even in performance mode. I would recommend looking up guides to the game as it allows you to choose between various classes, which all have their own benefits in the character creator. Overall I'd definitely recommend this this if you are a fan of Fromsoftware games, but be wary if this is your firts Fromsoft game as you may dislike the difficulty of it.
