If you know how to splice wires and have the right tools to change the 02 sensor, it was a seemless process and the 02 sensors worked. however it did make the check engine light turn on. its a good hold you over until you can get the original 02 sensors.
OEM is the best.
Perfect and cheaper than anyone. A true denso... Did not come with a plug.. Did come with butt splice and heat shrink... Reset my fault light... No issues.. I learned... Check with Walmart.com when looking for anything... If they ain't got it... U don't need it
I needed an O2 sensor, bank 1, sensor 1 (front sensor) for my Scion. Since Denso makes the O2 sensors for Toyota/Scion, this was a perfect replacement at a third of the cost for a Toyota/Scion one. All you need to do is use the old sensors connector on the new one. The tech support at Denso said exactly which wires to connect from the new sensor to the original connector. I do suggest using solder and not the wire crimps that come with the sensor. Great purchase and highly recommend!
Great job
This is a DENSO product so the quality is good. Unfortunately it gave me a P0420 code on my 2007 RAV4. The original downstream O2 sensor in the vehicle looked more like an NTK product. The O2 sensor was easy to installed and the wires can be joined with the connector of the original O2 sensor connector. Just refer to the correct wire mapping. The 2 black wire are the heater which would connect to the 2 white wires of the original connector, and the other 2 wires are signal and ground. I unfortunately got the infamous P0420 code after the first 30 miles of driving. Reset the light and the code again after 70 miles of driving. I removed the upstream O2 sensor and sprayed Gumout Carb cleaner into the catalytic converter and left it for 4 hrs. After that drove the vehicle again and similar P0420 code after a 30 mile and 50 mile interval. Just to mention the original O2 sensor was giving a code after about 200 miles. So there is probably a compatibility issue with this DENSO downstream O2 and the calibration of the vehicle. Hope this helps folks in their DIY quests. The below mapping is the one I got from Toyota forums. Please double check before installing. DENSO -------- OEM MEANING ============================================= BLUE ------- BLACK Signal WHITE ------- GRAY Signal - BLACK ------- WHITE Heater BLACK ------- WHITE Heater
doesnt fit
While the price is good and it is probably does replace the OE , I did find the original online ad misleading. I think the photo of the item showed that it had an electrical connector on one end. The item I received did not have the connector, it came with splices to connect it to the old plug. Replacing O2 sensors can be difficult enough without having to cut and splice wires. The average DIYer would rather it be simpler than harder. This sensor was a "universal" vice "exact fit" and should be identified as such in the ad.
MUST SOLDER IN ALL CONNECTIONS AND USE OWN EQUIPMENT .POOR ITEMS
The image of the product that is shown on my order was not what I received in the mail. I thought the co2 sensor that had the full connections attached but was not what is advertised on the site.
