Denso 234-9010 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Fits select: 2000-2003 TOYOTA CAMRY, 2001-2004 SUBARU LEGACY

Initial Diagnosis after the CEL came on. With a code reader only on a 2002 4 Cyl Camry I came up with a DTC of P1135 which is Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor heater or circuit fault. I decided to take a gamble and order the suspected part. This was a top quality Denso part and an OE manufacturer of this item. Sensor was in sealed plastic in the Denso box with a small packet of anti-seize compound that was included. Much cheaper than going to the dealer. If you can wait for free delivery for in store pickup then this is the way to go. You will save big bucks. You can't find a better deal anywhere. Other note was I referred to this part as an air/fuel sensor because it serves a different purpose on my 2002 four cylinder Camry than just an oxygen sensor.

This is the sensor in front of the catalytic converter, attaches to engine manifold. Part arrived on time at local Walmart for pickup. I figure I saved $30-50 on the part compared to buying same at Toyota parts counter or local auto parts stores. Saved another $400 by installing myself compared to Toyota dealer's estimate of $494 for part and installation. Was a little worried when I saw white smoke around the sensor on startup. I thought I had not tightened the sensor enough to the threaded manifold opening. Luckily I started the engine again before taking off the heat shield to get at the sensor. Yea, no smoke! Must have been the burnoff of the rust loosener foam I applied to the heat shield nuts before removal or some excess thread fastener gell (supplied with the part).

2003 Camry Check Engine Light - Code P0032 Replaced this guy right at front of engine in manifold. Presto! Worked like a charm. No more check engine light!

Auto store sold us the wrong one. While checking utube I saw this was the 02 sensor I needed. Working great!

The Air/Fuel Ration Sensor works as expected. The reason I gave four stars is because I am puzzling have some doubt whether this is a genuine Denso part. The box looks right and shows the part number is 234-9010. However, the sensor shows the part number is 192400-8080. I hope this part have a long life.
