DenTek Professional-Fit Dental Guard for Teeth Grinding, 1 Count

I boiled on the stove for two minutes, softened perfectly %26 molded right around my teeth. Fits snugly so it "clicks" %26 stays in place like the dentist ones. My dentist charged $750 for my first one which I lost %26 she wouldn't discount a replacment. This was only ten bucks %26 I'm thrilled. I trimmed it with scissors for an even better fit. Entire process was less than five minutes. I've had ones that were bulky but this one isn't. It has the perfect amount of gel. Slept through the night without a single problem. Going to buy a backup. I even had two other brands in my bedside table that are bulky and never used (pictured) so you can compare.

I got this because I was clenching my teeth when I sleep and was waking up with a tight jaw. This was easy to mold and I no longer wake up with mouth soreness. I will definitely get this again when my current one wears out. Saved a ton of money over the dentist molded option.

I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it PROBABLY does what it's supposed to. Problem is I can't get past the gagging to find out. I followed the directions and made the perfect fit. It's just very bulky and very hard to get used to. I gagged the entire time it was in my mouth and would never dream of trying to sleep in it. You literally cannot close your mouth which I suppose is the whole idea so you don't grind your teeth, but.....this isn't the solution for me. I'm going to see if my dentist can custom make me a very thin version.

I purchased two of these dental guards. They did not work at all. They never softened in the hot water and I was unable to bit into them after submerging them in the hotel water for the allotted amount of time or even with extra time. I have used this product before and never had any problems. So, I do not know if this lot number was a bad batch or what?

After several times putting in hot water based on the instructions, but not melted in my mouth and was still hard, really disappointed, I had to force my jaws and teeth firmly, but too much pressure on my teeth, not worth it. I repeat, I followed the instructions

mouth guard kind of split at its seam. I wore it one night, and it kind of cut the side of my tongue. I'll have to throw it away.

The claim is that this will mold to your mouth. I spent 10 solid minutes (instructions state 75 seconds) with this item in boiling water and it never softened. Which made it useless and a waste of my money. Do better. This product is trash, do not purchase if you are expecting anything other than hard plastic that remains hard plastic.

Bought two and neither of them worked, followed the instructions and the moldable guard stayed rock hard on both. Tried everything I could think of (leaving it in the water longer, etc.) and neither one ever got soft enough to make a usable guard. Complete waste of money. I had an old Dentek guard and I lost it, that one was great. These were absolute garbage.

Terrible product. Followed instructions and repeated them (as suggested, if needed) many times. Could not get them to mold or fit teeth. Contacted manufacturer, as recommended if problem persists, and haven't heard back from them. Waste of my money.

Unable to use as illustrated in the instructions. Would not form for proper fit in my mouth. Had always had good results previously with this product.
