Have used this product for several years when hair is shorter, above shoulder to several inches below shoulder length for very thick curly hair. Once hair is very long not as effective. Product works well on very thick curly hair that frizzes. There is no frizz on dry days, very little frizz on humid days. It accentuates the curls with a more spiral styled shape. It smells really good, light coconut smell. It is very light on hair. Highly recommend.

This works great on my dry course hair! When my hair is extra dry, I will wash it in the evening, use about a quarter size of the cream, work it in well and leave it in all night, then rinse out in the morning. Has a nice natural scent to it! I would not recommend using this if you have thin hair, its truly meant for thicker course hair that needs weight to maintain it.

There weren't many reviews on this product but the one I saw was a good one so I decided to give it a try. I've been trying several products hoping to find one that holds my curls & moisturizes my hair, leaving it soft manageable. Well this is the product!! The price is a fraction of the cost of all those other natural hair products & does a better job! As soon as I tried it I fell in love & ordered another bottle right away. Ps... Puritan has the lowest price!!

My 2 year old daughter has super curly hair that is hard to tame. I have tried other products to untangle, unfrizz, and style her hair. Nothing has worked quite as well as Dessert Essence's Coconut Soft Curls Hair Cream. I apply it on her hair after her bath, while her hair is wet. I comb out the hair also while wet and it untangles without any need of pulling and breaking her hair. the tangles just come right off. Like Magic! Her curls do not frizz and they regain their bounciness. no need for detangling spray, defining curl activator, or gel! its great! I fully recommend! I wont change it. If my daughter does not have to suffer while getting her done, its a winner!

I love how my curl is defined and it stays without frizzing up. I do not wash my hair everyday but I do refresh my hair with the coconut spray and then with this product. My hair looks nice and smooth every day. I love the product more than the more expensive products that I buy in beauty stores.

My two year old daughter has adorable, curly hair. I was using detangling spray, but I felt like I was soaking her hair in it and I was still fighting the knots. After reading a previous review I bought this stuff and I'm glad I did. Whether her hair is wet or dry all I have to do is knead a small pea size amount into hair, comb it from the bottom up, and then scrunch her hair to get back the curls. Super easy! There's still knots, but they come out much easier than with the detangling spray. It causes her hair to have a beautiful shine and leaves a light coconut scent. Plus, it doesn't weigh down her hair at all. Love it!

I have thick curly hair that is frequently dry like most baby boomers experience despite healthy nutrition practices. After I shampoo about a half dollar size of this cream adds shine and vitality to my hair. The product has exceeded my expectations. Easy to apply as well as noticing a favorable effect on the awful dryness. A pleasant scent that is not overpowering as well.

it works well, i just wish the bottle was bigger. depending on how your hair holds moisture, you may need to apply it daily, which will mean the bottle won't last long...so i would advice stocking up on it instead of ordering one bottle at a time (because it takes a while to come). It does do a good job defining my curls as advertised, though. its definitely a good value, and i would recommend it to others. it has a great smell and doesn't leave any messy build up...ive been natural since april and I ONLY use Desert Essence products which work very well for my hair type (thick and coarse), and I actually only wash my hair once a month (sometimes every month and a half) and its still hardly dirty, and my scalp never itches.

This is my first time trying this product. It has a great scent but not over powering. I put it in my hair wet then blow dry. It takes away most of the frizz and leaves my hair soft. It isn't heavy so it doesn't leave a residue. It lasts for a few days between washes and I reapply as needed before my next wash. I don't need hairspray when I use this product and keeps my hair under control in the heat. I have long medium thick curly hair that is very dry. My hair soaks up moister very easily so this product gives it what it needs. The only thing I can find wrong is that it can be hard to squeeze the product out of the bottle. You need some arm strength.
