Love this stuff . Makes hair soft and manageable
i have used design essentials products for over 2 years now...and i love them....this leave in conditioner did not disappoint at all!
Great moisturizer without a sticky feel
Love this product ever since I first tried it this product has been a staple in my curly hair routine!!leaves my hair soft moisturized and manageable and has a ton of slip perfect leave in conditioner for dry curly hair. I highly recommend this product!!
Haven't had the product long enough to fully evaluate
For the past 9 years I have been looking for the perfect hair product that would leave me with soft, moisturized, well defined curls. The products I buy either leave me with soft, moisturized curls or well defined, crunchy curls. This product falls into the latter category. I started out with the Design Essentials African Che'be Braid and Twist Out Strengthening Creme. That stuff worked great for both curl definition and hold. The curl definition was so great that I was able to wake up the next morning, take off my bonnet, do absolutely nothing to my hair, and still have hair that looked decent enough that I could take out the trash without scaring my neighbors. When using the Braid and Twist out Creme to pull my hair in a bun, it had such amazing hold that I was able to stand in front of the industrial strength fans at work and not have one single hair blow out of place. Great product for looks, but really drying. The instructions on the Braid and Twist out Creme say to use a leave-in conditioner first. I tried using the TGIN leave-in that I already had, but I still didn't like the way the Twist Out Creme worked so I bought this leave-in conditioner since it's part of the product line. The Design Essentials Chebe Anti-Breakage Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner didn't help things. When using this product and then the Twist Out Creme, my hair was still dry and hard. I tried just this product by itself, but still ended up with dry hair. I'm not going to throw these products out because they work great as a semi-moisturizing hair gel. On days where I need to have my hair slicked down and not moving, then I will use these products. In the mean time, I'll be looking for something else to try. Pros: - The shine is incredible. Even though my hair felt dry and hard, it was so shiny no one would know any better. - Ths product is pretty thick. It's hard to squeeze out of the bottle. I have to store the bottle upside down to make it a little easier to get the product out. - The smell dissipates once the product dries on your hair. The smell is definitely artificial and leans more towards the flowery side. - When wet, it elongates my curls and gives them weight. Just don't comb your hair after applying this product if you plan to wear your hair loose. Cons: - The texture of the product is almost like glue. When I apply it to damp hair, it is sticky and doesn't feel like it absorbs well. - This product does not moisturize my hair. - This product makes my hair really difficult to comb. If I'm pulling my hair in a bun, I apply this product and then use a wide tooth comb to work it through before pulling my hair in a bun. For next day hair, I spray my hair with water, apply a little more of this product, and then use a wide tooth comb to pull my hair back into a bun. Either way, combing is difficult. - I dye my hair and this strips the hair color. The picture is to give you an idea of my hair texture and length. This was after using this product.
