I had a microphone with no mute button, so you have to rely on clicking the mute button in the software/chat program you are using. Not a huge deal, but sometimes it takes a moment to find your mouse and go click it which is a problem if you are about to cough/sneeze, etc. So, I bought a new microphone that had a mute button. It was great, except I was never sure if I was muted or not (talking when muted, or realizing background noises were audible). I finally found this microphone with a mute button so I know if I am muted or not. Why this isn't standard in every single microphone (especially these days) is surprising to me.
