Devcon 9 Oz. 5 Minute Epoxy 20945

I chose this epoxy to repair a plastic bin, The repair went well, I think the epoxy adhered and is holding. The epoxy was easy to work with and I am happy with the results.

If you need more than one or two small batches of epoxy, this is a good choice. The equivalent amount in the tiny syringes is 10 syringes (.85oz/ea). that would cost about $50. This is $15. The epoxy seems good, at 6 minutes it is starting to kick. I used it to glue down a 10 foot piece of flexible LED strip in a spiral, so only 4-6 inches could be done at one time. This worked well, and the epoxy holds well. Mix for 1-2 min, work for 2-3 minutes and clamp. At 10 minutes, it's set enough to remove the clamps and start the next mix.

I have used the Devcon regular epoxy for years and it is a great product. This is my first time trying the 5-minute epoxy, and it seems to have done a good job. The reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does not bond to polyethylene and polypropylene plastics. The item I needed to glue was plastic and I had no idea what kind of plastic, so I applied the epoxy to a small area to see if it bonded. It did, so I glued what I needed to and it seems to be great, but it is going to be a small hassle every time I need to glue something plastic. The regular (2-ton) epoxy also has the same note about not bonding to these 2 types of plastics, but I just never never noticed it before.
