DeWalt 12V MAX Brushless Impact Driver Kit XTREME

This is my favorite go to impact. Weight to power ratio is perfect for most jobs. Yes, I have the 20v cousins. But this does the dirty work without fatigue. Installing fasteners for metal roofing? Yep. Tight framing details? Easy. Hanging gutters? Look no further. Under rated platform.

I am a woodworker building furniture and small items. My older impact driver has poor trigger control and was much too powerful for driving small (ca. #6) screws. It was a battle to keep from overdriving the screws of slipping off and marring the workpiece. The DCF801 has three settings and the least powerful one is excellent for driving small screws with contol. The trigger control is good and the availability of three power settings makes it easy to match the tool to the required job. The DCF801 has easily been powerful enough for my needs, though I can't say how well it would do with 6 inch lag screws. THe compact size of the 12 volt tool is also nice for accessing tight spaces and the lighter weight in a bonus.

perfect smaller drill with plenty of power..

I've had this impact about 4 weeks. Bought it due to doing alot of work in tight spaces and wanted to try something smaller and it has been great. The power it has for a 12v has impressed me enough I've already bought 3 other tools in the 12v line.

The tools itself is lightweight and easy to use. Dont let the light weight part fool you though, it packs a big punch. Not to mention the 3 buttons on the too that adjust the torque and speed. Very convenient!! Also, there are 3 LED lights on the front of the driver the make it super easy to see. The batteries are small and long lasting as well. The new series of 12volts dewalt tools have amazed me, to be honest. I'm impressed because they have a lot of power and they are super light. I have been working for an entire day with my 12 volts, 2ah battery installing furnitures in hotels. It's pretty nice to FULLY rely on your favorite tools. These batteries would have your back. Trust them. The only recommendation I have for dewalt is to extend the variety of the tools. More 12volts tools. I have all the 20volts tools and I love them. Bpught this 6 months ago and it suits my needs perfectly. I use this daily as an electrician. Great control, trigger and the LED's are super bright. Battery's last quite a few days under normal use. Only thing I'd change is the mode/speed selection. It seems that you can only change the settings after you pull the trigger. If the tool has been sitting for a minute you can't change the setting. Ive had mine for about 6 months and i use it for everything, from framing, to drywall to roofing. Dropped it from roughly 38 ft, it bounced off a sidewalk next to a roof i was on and its still works like the day i bought it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This DeWalt 12 volt Extreme Impact Driver Kit is awesome. I like that it has 3 speeds and has plenty of power. It's also lightweight and compact and easy to use for any project. The battery life is also really good. This kit also came with 2.0 Ah batteries and charger along with the handy bag. I've recommended this to several friends and they have also purchased this kit.
