[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't sure when i bought this that it would have the lasting power to be useful. We use hand sanders constantly and since the first purchase of this tool we have bought 6 of them. I turned out that this ended up being the go to tool. Only note is that the battery terminals can get cloged with dust so its a good idea to blow them out with some low pressure air every so often.

I own 2 of these sanders as well as an random orbital sander plus 10 other battety dewalt tools. I build furniture as a hobby. I have been a dewalt tool user for over 35 yrs. They are durable, reliable and definately contractor quality F

Great tool!

I bought this the weekend after getting the newsletter that showed it's release. I have been so happy with it! The table is so flat and effective that you can easy sand things like picture frames and trim without worry of rounding the edges. In stead you get nice sharp 90-Degree edges that you would typically have to carefully hand sand. The Clamping system pulls the sheet very tightly to reduce any sag in the sheet.. Easy to use and the suction system works wonderfully, effectively reducing any nuisance dust. Worth every cent!

Just bought this tool, my 6.0Ah 60/20V Flexvolt batteries will not fit the sheet sander. I have no 20V batteries for my 20V max tools, always use 60/20V Flexvolt batteries. I have a large mix of 20V Max and FlexVolt Dewalt tools, never had a battery clearance issue. Come on Dewalt, huge oversight by your Designers/Engineers. It looks like you rotated the outlet on the 5" orbital sander 20V Max (don't own that tool), suggest the same improvement to the 1/4" sheet Sander. Please send me one when complete and I will sent this one to you. No idea how the tool actually works!
