DEWALT 20V MAX 1/4 in Cordless Impact Driver (DCF885B) – Compact Design, 3-LED Light, 3,200 IPM, Tool Only

It seems fine: works with my DeWalt and cheapo after-market batteries. I haven't done a comparison test yet vs. my DeWalt 18V impact driver, but it seems more powerful.

Everything was good as expected

I have been using Dewalt tools now for many years and that experience and confidence in their product moves me to continue purchasing many of their tools and replacing my worn out Dewalts with new Dewalts. I have been using my nephews impact driver and I appreciate the long battery life, the power, the ease of use and the comfortable grip that keeps me working with ease for hours. My nephew will be happy to know that I bought my own impact driver.

First 1/4 impact i bought still going strong just won't quit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this impact driver for 6+ years and It is still kicking to this day. Used it as a hammer, dropped it from the top of ladders etc. This thing is a beast.

I purchased this tool as a 2 piece kit with the hammer drill. I've had the 18v lithium model for 13 years (still on the original 2 batteries) for driving decking screws. I used the 18v in professional trades driving hundreds of screws per day. The 20v model is everything the 18v was and more. The little bit of added power, extended battery life, and the improved lighting are wonderful features. I do prefer the control of the brushed motor over the brushless. Great tool. While this tool is getting outdated with the new brushless motors taking over it still kicks butt. I’ve had mine for about 4 years and last summer I thought it was a goner, I dropped it multiple times from about 14’ onto concrete but it kept working, I didn’t even notice until later that I had broken the handle completely at the base, the rubber over molding was holding it together still, shock absorber I call it. But it still works great. A little duck tape through the lanyard loop and around the handle and she’s still kicking.

Bought the impact for Technician use and worked great for about 7 months than impact would not operate. Found light would come on but no rotation of the impact. Good battery voltage and checked on other dewalt drip ok.
