Didn't work out but a great tool %26 great service.
I purchased this tool close to two years ago now and I have been highly satisfied so far. The breakaway torque on this rachet is very surprising. I have taken blades off of my commercial mower with ease using this tool. It fits in tight spaces around the engine compartment and has a great battery life. It is a tool that I reach for quite often doing various projects around the house and on jobs. I chose the 3/8" option due to having a larger variety of sockets in the 3/8" size. My only complaint would be around the base where the battery slides in seems a little flimsy. I just try not to put pressure on the battery area and hold the tool around the handle portion. Not much you can do with this area without having a different style battery which would take away from the versatility of the 20V batteries.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing gets the job done! Construction seems very solid. It feels good in your hand and has plenty of power and speed. Huge time saver. Obviously it's bigger than a manual ratchet but that's to be expected. I keep it on my workbench ready to go. I use it for so much more than I thought I would.
This tool is a must have! It has saved me so much time. It fits into very tight spaces. I have lots of dewalt tools, but this tool stays in my “on the go bag”.
This 3/8 12 volt wrench is ok for smaller jobs but that's all
The reviews about failures are true. Had only used mine probably an hour total run time or less and it locked up; light would come on, but it would not turn. Dealing with a warranty request now -- hopefully they will replace it. Otherwise, it's a great tool when it works; tons of power and a great size.
Bought it in March at homedepot used it a handful of times now when I pull the trigger it doesn't work and the light just flashes
I loved this ratchet but I went through 2 in 60 days one only lasting 4 days, the gears strip in the head so that under light load the head won't turn but the ratcheting mechanism is still moving almost like and impact, took it back to the dealer they said they have had a few come back, waiting in the new xr design with the sealed head hopefully eliminating the issue
Bought this in December but didn't get to use until March (no heated work shed). I unscrewed one bolt in a tight location and got it pinched in said location. Had to saw the socket in half to retrieve the rachet and it quit working after that. Just makes a grinding noise in the head.
I bought 1 tried it out once tightening the bolt it locked up couldn't get it to move again took it back got another one over a period of 2weeks it did it again. Would not recommend this product (JUNK.)
