It was a real NEW Dewalt Saw, factory box sealed. good value. PACKED PROPERLY in another box to defend porch pirates and ensure it came in one piece (unlike "enviro" shipping from AZ). same quickly. Thanks
Had this saw for awhile and it's awesome!! Easy to use. The handle that tightens the depth gaurd always gets loose tho. Not sure why. Had to replace it once cause it was not cutting square but Dewalt gave me a new replacement.
When paired with 60v battery, it's like cutting with a electric powered saw. I've tried 3 other brands of saws in the past, an none of them compared to the power and smoothness of the dewalt. And the batteries holds power without having to run to the charger after every cut. Well worth the $$.
Lighter than my Mikita corded and more powerful plus it runs for a full 5 day week with a 9ah 60v flexvolt
Firstly some good things about the saw. I've had it for a couple years now doing steady work with it and it's held up nicely. Having the advantage version is nice because of the ability to use multiple batteries with it instead of being limited to just flex volt or 20 volt. Having the blade change tool on the saw and out of the way is very convenient, it also forces people to remove the battery before disassembling the blade which is a nice safety feature. As many have mentioned the shoe is not square to the saw. If you follow the guide it is off 1/8 inch. The other thing I dislike about the saw is that the base plate is very flat at the front, the beveled edge is not enough when cutting through different material. It often gets hung up on the lip of plywood sheathing or OSB material.
Bought this saw yesterday. Took it out of the box, installed the blade that came with it, and the cut is 1/8" to the right of the kerf guide. No provision to adjust this. It's like the wrong thickness arbor was installed on the motor, the blade is too far to the right, or the kerf guide is too far to the left. Otherwise, a very nice saw. Lightweight, powerful and quiet. Unfortunately, cannot produce accurate cuts without a properly aligned guide. Will be returning it today.
bought this as part of a kit for pops. he used it about 2 hrs for cuts to began a shed frame and during use it stopped working. Motor did not want to operate. Blade would not turn. We attempted different batteries to rule that out and that did not solve it. Sent back for repairs.....
As others have said these are junk. Baseplate is way out of alignment and it's not adjustable. It's a full 1/8" off making the saw useless for cutting anything that requires any precision whatsoever.
I don't understand why Dewalt only makes this saw in a Blade right version. Unless you cut with your left hand and stand to the right of the Blade then it's useless! If you can't see your cut then what's the point
I was so excited when I got this saw and I was initially impressed with the power. Major flaw that makes it difficult to use with a guide or fence of any sort is the shoe not being parallel with the blade, not to mention the hash marks don't line up. Using a speed square will actually result in an out of square cut. You can mark a line and watch the blade to get a square cut but that is not the point. You cannot be fast accurate with this saw. Overall very disappointed with that flaw, if we had some adjustability or it was correctly aligned this would be a 5/5 saw.
