I have had large trees fall and cut 90% of the tree up with this. I don't have a chain saw, so I use a pruning blade and trim my trees with this. I use it in the garage for many uses. I have the brushless blower, trimmer, weed eater, 1/2 drill, and 1/4" impact. Almost use one of the set every day. Sure glad I switched to Dewalt!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this when taking out a root ball from a large bush. Really I just used it as an excuse to purchase the tool. I did get the 5.0 AH battery version to add to my 20v set and couldn't be happier with the battery life. The charger that comes with this quickly charges all of your 20v batteries as well. Focusing in on the saw I appreciate being able to place the blade horizontal or vertical, and facing either direction so 4 different orientations overall. There is a moderate amount of vibration in the handle, but given the power of the saw it is manageable and not a detriment in my opinion. Highly recommend this tool and all 20v XR tools.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the power of this tool. I usually use it for pruning in my yard and the alley behind my home. I have cut down small trees with this thing and cut them up without a complaint. The battery has held out through every job, I would highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is so versatile that make you more faster than ever, just put one blade for a metal and one for wood. This tool really cutting metal pipes, Plastic water or sawage pipes, wood and so on. Led light is very helpful because you often make shadow with your body. Also there is short blades for thick material and long blades for inaccessible cutting. The best thing of this tool that you can twist blade for 180 degrees. 5Ah battery is so strong and you can work all day with it. Remember, you must use different blades for different cutting materia.
I got this as a gift. Its perfect for the wood decorations that I make. Using this is like slicing through butter with a hot knife, compared to using a hand saw and a jig saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago to help with my handywoman work. I love the way it rips right thru pallets.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely worth the money. Light, compact, and really powerful. Itll go straight through a 6x6 like it's nothing at all.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 20 Volt Max XR compact kit two weeks ago for heavy duty daily use. I was worried about the reciprocating saw not being able to handle the abuse it was about to endure on the job site. To my surprise for it being soo compact it has turned out to be a very heavy duty dependable tool. I also bought the Milwaukee FUEL line combo kit for my foreman at the same time. We put Dewalt and Milwaukee tools to the test. Dewalt is by far superior, the Flex 60 volt batteries last longer than the similar Fuel battery and the Dewalt tools hold up and are much more compact than Milwaukees. The new Milwaukee SDS max hammer drill doesn't even have a chance competing with Dewalts Brushless 60 Volt Max counterpart. In general Dewalts new XR line up are made for daily heavy abuse, there isn't another tool line up that compares. Will add a few pictures of my arsenal of Dewalt tools in my company truck I use daily for credibility. Don't loose time and money go Dewalt!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Dewalt 20Max battery powered reciprocating saw a couple of weeks ago really unsure of how the battery model would perform. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised at the power this saw has and to tell you the truth I was give out long before the saw which never ran down in several hours of cutting down really large shrubs 4-5 inches big. I would strongly recommend this saw. It is one tough saw with great power and a long lasting battery.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Saw works great, if it dont break in the first week of use. I got 3 until I got one that stayed together, first ones "chuck" detached from the piston arm and the pin assembly dismantled causing that. runtime-0.001 seconds, inserted blade tried cutting into sheetrock and the blade and chuck fell out. Paint still on blade 100%. Secone one, the blade lock mechanism broke appon inserting blade, wouldnt hold blades anymore never got to use. Yes I returned both and got new new working units work great. But the PLASIC blade lock switch always fails within a year just saying
