Best Diagonal Pliers Ever !

Racepro November 5, 2019

I am usually a Craftsman Tool Guy, but after buy these, I will only buy DeWalt Pliers, Cutters, and Snips, the quality is far better than Craftsman to say the least. These Diagonal Pliers give far more leverage to make cutting easier on thinker items and the locking feature is awesome !! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Easy to use

Errol August 10, 2019

I bought a pair of "Compound Action" cutters because I'm getting lazy. Had to do some electrical re-wiring in my house. Cut the NM 12-3 easy, even in an awkward "two elbows" reach. Also I cut wiring staples like they were copper. I won't be using these extensively since I'm basically a DIY homeowner, but I'm very happy with these cutters.

Broke after a few uses

JVN13 November 5, 2019

I am a huge DeWalt snob and always buy their products over other brands. This tool however has been nothing but a problem. I have broken the tips off of two pairs already. I think that when cutting thick material the tips come together with such force that they break. Or I have just been lucky enough to have two bad pairs. The only good side of this is that DeWalt has a lifetime warranty so they have replaced them for free. That is why I gave this a 2 star rating instead of a 1. Locking Latch Failure

LT Navy Davy February 10, 2023

The latch to keep the pliers in the closed position comes undone for no apparent reason. The slight touch releases the latch and allows the pliers to spring open. Just a darn nuisance. Dewalt - REENGINEER THE LATCH!

Ruined a great tool...

bckcd January 19, 2019

I use the previous version of this tool 7 days a week building commercial fishing equipment. I make 750 to 1000 cuts a day. I picked up this newer version and it was very hard to make a cut and the cut wasn't flush. Truly disappointed.

Hmpf

Opens enough to cut a speaker wire.... Couldn't even cut a TV cable wire.... Literally just threw 20 away on these..... can't believe these are intended for electrical use......

Poor production quality and workmanship ruined a g

CV6_ April 23, 2018

Poor production quality and workmanship ruined a good idea. The jaws do not come together evenly. The tip of the cutting edge comes together before the part closest to the pivot pin. It will only cleanly cut wire at the nose part. If I cut deeper into the blade area, some of the fine wires in the bundle are not severed. It was my fault for not carefully inspecting the item before purchase instead of depending on the Dewalt name. I pay for my own mistakes. A. T. Burke
