My wife bought this for me for Christmas. I have read the comments and had to laugh at what they said!! First of all, the quality of the seat is way better than the cheaply made brands, and what do you expect from a 120 chair? It's quality is fine for the price! And to the lady who rated this a 1 because her husband can't barely reach the floor? Are you serious? Is he like 2'tall?? My 13 y/o can put her feet on the ground!! Overall, for the price, it's a very durable seat and perfect for my job as a maintenance mechanic.
After researching many different options, I choose this stool based on the looks and user feedback. I am glad I did. I envisioned it being a nice stool considering the name brand attached to it and upon delivery, I was NOT disappointed. It not only looks good but it was assembled too. All I had to put together was stick the seat piston into the frame and then place the seat on top of it. That's it. The frame is heavy duty and I had to try it out. The balance feels good and it rolls around well. Great product. It came with leg inserts to use if you take off the casters. The seat height is adjustable and comfortable too.
Very pleased with purchase. Stool is well built to accommodate a large person. Gift to my Son. He was well pleased
So I work Over night grocery and I have been using this for about 6 months. It really saves my back and my knees from constantly bending over and over again. It has been stuck on the bottom height for the past three months which isn't bad for me. But what is bad are the wheels. They split within 3 months and I had to pull off the plastic. Now it's just noisy. I've looked and looked online but can not find replacement wheels for this chair. You would think that the desalt website would make finding replacement wheels for this as an attachment to the product. But they don't. I would love someone to assist with finding wheels.
I bought 4 years ago and now the piston don't go up anymore , didn't use much!
This is the fifth one I've purchased for my shops. The third one has now given me the same issue—the part/bolt that connects the wheel to the base bent and eventually broke off. All of my coworkers loved this stool at first, but over time they all ended up disliking it because it keeps having the same problem.
I bought this solid stool and thought it would be great in the shop. Once I started rolling around while sitting properly on it it tipped over and dumped me. Then I came to realize that's why any good safe chairs have 5 wheels. It needs to be reengineered with 5 wheels or feet.
I bought this roughly a year ago and never used it much until the last few weeks and while the chair and frame seem to be heavy duty as advertised the wheels are not and have failed after one good week of use.
I purchased two of these stools 2 years ago. The build quality is excellent, assembly was very easy, and they support upwards of 300 lbs. I am giving this one star due to the fact that the pneumatic cylinder on my dads has failed. It went down, and no is unable to go back up. He is 84 years old and the higher seat height is needed due to his age. Now it just sits in the lowest position. I am extremely disappointed in this product, and paid a premium price for a premium product. I know it comes with a 2 year warranty, and I am past that, but the cylinder shouldn't fail in under a dozen or so uses. I also have the problem that others have with one wheel splitting the rubber cover off exposing a harder plastic wheel. I am not worried about that as wheels can be found and replaced with ease. The pneumatic cylinder is another problem and doesn't seem to be offered anywhere despite numerous reviews of others having the same issue.
I thought it was going to be a heavy duty stool.. it's really it. I bought 2 and both the seats are now flat and the casters have fallen apart. I'm really disappointed. I do like the design but they didn't even last 18 months. For the price it's not worth it.
