I love my Dewalt impact driver! Going on year two with this tool. I've built decks with this tool, remodeled a house, repair a tractor, repaired the mower deck on a mower about a million times. This impact driver works every time. The batteries are great too.
Just bought today i am a carpenter/ diy/ do what ever puts the green in my wallet. Not sure about batteries they are way little for me i am a 4 plus AH person. They have no fuel gauge. But really dont care i wont be using them. But with the batteries that came with it omg has some torque. I am about to build a 14ft w by 40ft deck and a 12x12 deck so i will be updating review but i love it
New innovations in tools show up everyday, but once in awhile, a classic arrives. A tool that exceeds your wishes. A tool that doesn't need any changes, it just shows up everyday and over performs. The high rate of impacts per minute, 4200, makes this tool feel hungry, like it's just waiting to drive screws into wood as fast as possible, to put out perform all the drill drivers in the neighboring area. It's elliquently savage. I like the xr impact drivers, but this is way faster and atleast as much torque, I feel like it has a decent amount more. I look forward to when the you tube tool review guys actually test the torque ratings. Three lights....no shadows. Balance..awesome. Feels good holding it. Light weight.....absolutely, got rid of what isn't needed, line a three speed gear box. I have never once taken a impact driver out of high and neither does anyone I know. A variable speed trigger takes care of that. I really can't complain about one thing, it's just performance and goodness all around. This tool is going to be very long in the tooth and people won't be giving it up. I'm not loyal to one brand. I like Ridgid, Milwaukee and Dewalt. This is the first review I have ever done, I really thought the tool and Dewalt deserved some praise on this. Outstanding job. Like a pair of work boots that fit just right, I had to buy an extra one or two in case something happened to mine. Just Awesome
I purchased this impact driver to install a deck. This impact driver works very well and is comfortable to use!
I bought mine at a estate sale, did not know if it even worked, but after putting up a 30'x30' metal building with it with no problems dewalt will be the only battery powerd tools I will buy.
I've had numerous drills from numerous companies and being a roofer you need to have reliable tools. I've dropped the off the roof and it didn't matter.
I'm a complete amateur with tools, but I saw the reviews, and got lucky this came with the compact power stack, LOVE IT! My only complaint is about the functionality of the spin switch, it's really easy to move, but like I said, I'm an amateur!
The powerful torque works great in repairing small engines where bolts are stubborn to remove. Speeds up repair time. This impact driver packs a punch when loosing or tightening bolts, but the variable speed provides precision control when you don't want to over tighten and strip threads. The low profile allows for easy access in tight assembly and engine areas. It's durable, great battery life, and built in work light makes work easier for all sorts of home DIY projects. A great value!
The 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Impact Driver Kit was so helpful today. I am remodeling an apartment complex and I needed an efficient impact for the job and dewalt never lets me down. The impact driver helped me move faster and it's quieter that the other tools I have also. Thank you delwalt
For the price it's an okay impact, but the 1.3ah batteries are basically useless, and it won't take off a lugnut even though it says it has 1,700'lb of torque. (That was with a 5ah battery) For small jobs it's not bad, but for automotive or construction I would definitely get a more powerful impact.
