I have used Dewalt tools for over 20 years. This is a great drill I have put this drill through eternity and back. It has never let me down I have several dewalt drills and would never think about buying any other brand.Because of the quality of the tool I have bought a compressor, weed eater, blower, and the list just goes on!1 Buy this drill you will not be disappointed !11 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have been using this drill for 6 months now for my home renovation and it does all the jobs. The compact size allows the drill to fit into smaller places which really comes in handy. Overall I would highly recommend this drill for the DIYer that needs a reliable and versatile drill. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I ordered and got the compact Dewalt hammer drill, no unneeded bag, just a drill, belt clip, and directions packed in bubble wrap and a box at a good price. Shipping was quick with FedEx too.
I originally bought the cordless brushless XR Dewalt drill and driver combo, but I decided not to spring for the combo with a hammer drill. After growing tired of hauling my corded hammer drill around at work I finally decided to buy this 20v hammer drill to complete my set. I was a little put off by the plastic chuck collar and light weight but it has truly stood strong. I've used it to drill countless holes in masonry and concrete. It's not nearly as loud as some co-workers cordless drills, it's noticeably lighter and I've had no issues out of it. As far as Cordless Dewalt hammer drills go you will definitely get plenty of bang for your buck and some. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I think that the drill itself is a very good tool, but the battery's trash. I've been waiting for two years for DEWALT to build a better version of the original drill. The problem is that you guys have built 12 V and I expected you guys to build it with 20 V. All the workers are always looking for a faster and stronger version and I think that the 20 V is the better selling version. I am waiting for the 20 V version and I will not buy the 12 V version until you guys release the 20 V version. Thank you for listening and creating tools to better every worker's experience.
I sent this message to the seller: I have 3 questions: 1. Was this supposed to be wrapped without any protection? You couldn't bother to box it up? The plastic wrap is worn away where this was dropped or tubbed from friction during shipment. I am absolutely shocked! 2. Is this a new or used item? 3. This is a Christmas gift. Given its extremely shoddy packing and possible damage, I want to make sure that you'll cover a return if it doesn't work after Christmas. I really need answers to these questions.
This was a gift to add to my LOVED atomic collection soally for the hammer action. It sat on the shelf until a project that needed it, and that was today. Maybe thirty minutes used in hammer mode (not constant) and now any other mode the thw gear don't seam right. I've read some similar issues with this drill. Maybe the same manufacturing batch??? Doesn't seem like dewalt quality. I could understand if this was a every day use drill.
