I own and have worked with several models of DeWalt drills, power tools, yard and garden equipment and have never been disappointed. This drill is one of my daily go-to's with many of my projects at home, for friends, and as a retiree my wife provides a vigilant list of uses for my DeWalt collection. Shared batteries enhance the practical utility in addition. Thank you DeWalt.

I received this as a retirement gift and it has served me well as the back up to my matching impact driver. It's ergonomic, has plenty of power and battery life is excellent. My primary use is for drilling pilot holes for threaded fasteners that I then install with the impact driver, which is very convenient for repetitive operations like framing with screws or sheet metal work. I've used it regularly for the past couple of years with no issues like other reviewers have noted. It does everything I need as a hardcore DIYer.

I wouldn't trade my drill for any other period... I'm a 39 yr old woman who grew up building houses and as an adult I've been learning machanic trade past 6 or 7 yrs so I use my drill as much as I do makeup and hairspray lol so basically everyday my drill is put to use; to me there is no other brand of drill for me... It's fast, effective, lightweight, it charges fast and stays charged for forever and so far hasn't let me down... So yeah DeWalt all the way for me!!! I luv it...

Its speed along with its long battery life makes my jobs easier. I own several of them. and no matter which one i pick up. it always gets the job done.

So I've been using Dewalt drills for years and I recently upgraded to this brushless drill and its amazing. I needed another drill for the house as I keep lending my tools to my family members and leaving them on the job site. And I'm happy I did. I have to say it hands down the best drill that I've ever used. You can feel the extra power from the motors from the get go. And the built quality is amazing, just like all the other dewalt tools. Plus, I haven't done any test but I do feel like the battery last alot longer now with the drill. I've used other brushless tools before, but this one just feels different. I think over the next few years I might start thinking about converting all my tools to brushless.

I got this tool for Christmas and it has been a gem! The battery power and life ha supassed any of my expectations. I have another brand drill/driver and I have to say that I pick it up less. This was an awsome gift and would recommend it to anyone.

I am not sure what DeWalt has done to their drills. My first one last many years, my second lasted a little over two years. This one last less than a year. Same problem - the gears just wear out.
