This driver is miraculous. First of all it is a LOT quieter than my other regular DeWalt driver (a DCF885), not just quieter but it's a softer "liquid" sound , nothing like the typical loud "clackety clack" sound that regular (non-hydraulic) drivers make. It's also so much more powerful, my first finger-to-the-metal test screw ended up counter-sunk by a full inch. After that I was a little more subtle and though it can drive very fast, it's also very accurate. It's extremely easy to modulate via the tigger, you can reduce the power to a very low level where it drives the screw by a tiny fraction of turn at a time, and the screw ends up very precisely at the exact level you're going for. I don't know anything about durability yet (good I would think), but so far it's an excellent, excellent tool. I had no idea a driver that good was available.

sounds different then what I am used to due to teh hydraulic impact. almost like a battery is low but it doesnt act like the battery is low. I use the low setting and itll put a self tapping scew through 1/8 in steel like butter without a struggle. itll sink large lags. love this thing.

Worth the wait and the extra money for its output.
This Impact Driver is one of if not the smoothest drivers I've ever used by DEWALT and other companies alike by far. There is definitely a major difference in their Hydraulic System not only in the volume level in regards to being a quitter model , but the ability to do what it does with such precision and ease is very impressive, and with only Two speeds to utilize.

Good all around driver!
It's a Dewalt! Quality, quality, quality! This is my favorite go for all of my around the house projects. Light, compact and powerful. Not much more to ask for.
