On thing I would like to see for the entire 20V tool line, and that is a cord adapter for longer / bigger jobs! Really would be great if Dewalt could bring this accessory to market. Thank you!

Great tool! Having a cordless polisher makes mobility around so much easier. It runs very smooth and feels like a quality build that isn't that much heavier then a corded polisher. Weighs 5lbs 2oz with out battery and with a 5ah battery it weighs 6lbs 8oz. It's a great item for mobile car washes also. It has 15 crements of speed ranging from 800 - 2200 which can be changed from low to high or high to low without powering off the tool. Overall it's a great tool that I enjoy. This machine has surprised me in several ways. One of the biggest benefits of the 20V Max battery system is that I can work in shade any time of the day to avoid cooking on my wax. The brushless motor is strong and has enough rpm to polish without burning through the clearcoat the way a re-purposed grinder is likely to do. The grip layout is comfortable, and controls are simple. This tool takes hours out of getting a good coating onto your vehicle to protect its finish from the elements. The kit includes two 20v MAX battery packs, a charger, and a carry bag large enough to hold some pads, cloths and wax. The light weight design and battery installation being sideways, gives you more flexibility and balance when it comes to working on certain ares of the vehicle. The variable speed settings, lock on switch and hook & loop pad attachment are perfect for both Diy'ers and Pros. i bought this a month ago found out you need to have several 5ah batteries on hand. i have a flex 3401 the beast this cordless buffer out runs out cuts the flex by a long shot. its also very easy to handle and light. thinking bout selling the flex so i can get the dewalt 5 inch cordless polisher.

I got this a couple weeks ago to help finish a river table and it worked great. I loved how easy it was to adjust the rpms and how they were clearly marked. This tool brought my table up to a beautiful polish. ( It worked great on the truck too) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

In the very short time I have had this .it has performed wonderfully for me.The lite weight of this tool was perfect when climbing ladders to sand the end boards on the deck which was ten ft off the ground.Would recommend this tool to anyone who has sanding or grinding jobs.Have yet to try buffing pad on cars but I am sure it will perform perfectly for that application as well. This Dewalt Polisher, is just what the doctor ordered ! It is perfectly balanced ,when using the multiple handles to polish a vehicle. It's light weight for the power. The variable speed give you confidence in adjusting to your own comfort, so you don't over heat . The cordless operation is the best feature of all, that's what I liked the most. I have three vehicles , and keeping the clean and buffed is a pastime of mine. The polisher is for the novice as well as for the professional. It is a professional , heavy duty tool.
