Cuts the limbs nice and clean. the chain is nice and sharp. Very nice product.
Love exactly what I need to reach with
I bought this Polesaw when I first bought my house about 7 years ago. It was and still is perfect for trimming up some branches and smaller trees we have. I also got the hedge trimmer attachment for it and that works amazingly too.
My son bought this for me a year ago for father's day. I am so glad he did. I have used this for tree clean up in my yard as well as shooting lane grooming for gun and bow hunting. It cuts amazingly well for the size of the blade. I am able to cut some fairly large diameter trees with it. I use the 5ah size battery and it cuts for a good long while! This tool has been a great addition to my arsenal of Dewalt tools.
Bought bare tool to a) replace green-brand "attachment lineup" that is 1/5. First, the fact that the motor is on the cutting head is 5/5 — no loss due to rotation transfer from source like others. Second, the two poles, although not adjustable, are sufficiently rigid to work well w/o really wanting to adjust them. Agree that, like the 20v chainsaw, the bar oil leaks. But, my gas stihl does the same thing (just slower), and the green-brand leaked like it was left open. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I pay a bit more for a better bar oil seal? Yes. Would I pay 25% more for 3-poles with staggered lengths? Yes.
Would be great if it had a telescoping feature
AWESOME POLE SAW, IMPRESSED HOW FAST IT CUTS THREW BRANCHES. THE ONLY THING I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS THAT IT LEAKS CHAIN OIL ALL OVER THE FLOOR WHEN STORED AWAY. I WOULD DEF PURCHASE ANOTHER.
I bought this, tool only, while on sale. I have used it for several years now and find it so useful. I have a lot of maple trees, walnut trees, and pear trees that are mature and need trimming yearly. The saw is heavy and easier to use the more vertical the pole is. It has three sections and can be used with some or all of them.
All my cordless tools are Dewalt...even my tool boxes. This pole saw is very disappointing. Yes it runs, yes it cuts. But the leaking oil and floppy pole are an embarrassment to Dewalt's usual product design. Who designed it...a 5th grader? Even putting the saw in a plastic bag oil still gets everywhere. I'm keeping it only because all my batteries are Dewalt. However, I'm sharing these concerns with other Dewalt users. It's such an aggravation to use and store because of the floppy pole and oil spillage.
The mid section pole female end came apart as result of small screws breaking off.
