DeWalt DCST925M1 20 Volt Max 13-Inch Lithium-Ion Cordless String Trimmer

Producted lasted since June 15, 2021. My hubby used it twice a week since then on a half of a yard. never had an issue with it until one week before Father's Day this year. It just stopped working, but I can't say I didn't do a job. It's had the same battery since we purchased it and never had a problem with it. I would purchase it again. So no, it has a definite five-year unstoppable work life.

Was a great purchased, high quality.

These reviews and reviewers are idiotic.I never meant to click like on a comment and could not change it after the fact. In regards to the product, it has never let me down. People complaining about battery life should check the date on their battery before commenting and post proof of whether or not you are using 20V or 60V Dewalt batteries. I just used mine YESTERDAY for over an hour an had no impact on application other than me running through the rest of my 50' worth of wire/string. Get real...this product performs well and under the worst conditions. I have over 15 Dewalt XR tools...

Would've gotten a cheap brand if I knew this one would not only be heavier but weaker as well. Good for just edging and trimming around plants and walking areas. Won't handle much more. Battery life isn't impressing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, we bought this trimmer a few months ago and now that we are using it we hate it. The string head turns the wrong way (counterclockwise) and throws everything at our legs. The protective cover does nothing. We have never had a trimmer that turns this way and probably won't have this one long either.

The string keeps getting jambed. When I look online, this is a very common problem. I have found that I get about the third time I try to extend the string using the tap feature, it gets jambed and has to be disassembled. Initially, I was in love with the loading procedure, now I need to look for options. Don't buy this until DeWalt addresses this issue (and hopefully makes the fix available to all their disappointed loyal customers that already own this. DeWalt makes great tools, but they swung and missed on this one.

I bought this string trimmer because all of my cordless tools are DeWalt and I have had good experiences. If I could go back I would purchase a different brand of string trimmer all together. Two lines come out of the cartridge head, of the two lines one breaks off every 30 seconds and I have to stop, open the cartridge and feed the one side back out. It's not the line or the loading because I'm still on the factory installed line. It's SO FRUSTRATING. Secondly, at full speed the head sounds as if the balance is off, or a bearing is off.

My garage is a monument to DeWalt tools but this is one I hate. It is awkward to hold, not powerful enough to trim simple grass, and constantly feeds more string with the smallest tap. My biggest gripe is that it spins in the opposite direction of all other trimmers I've used causing grass and rocks to constantly be thrown at you. The guard is so tiny, it doesn't block anything. I've written support about a larger guard and they do not make one. This was poorly designed and the only DeWalt tool I despise.

I hate this head / spool. It's the weak link of this trimmer. I decided to go electric. I like the size of it. I like the weight of it. The performance is fine for my needs. I bought two additional batteries, but I spend my time sitting down getting the line unstuck or reloading the spool. After removing the spool, put the ends of the line in the wholes and by the time you load a turn and a half the line has come out of the holes and it's back to step one. It has me looking to purchase elsewhere when I like everything else about this trimmer.

I bought this last year I have tried to restring it once, almost took a hammer to it then. The problem is unlocking it to remove the bottom. I even took it to a shop person and they wanted to take a hammer to it! I'm not happy with this weed eater
