This tool kit was exactly as advertised, I was able to go from the box and then power wash my patio and it took off the layer of grime as easily as my gas powered one, but a lot quieter. I drew straight from a bucket to try that out and it worked very well.
i had 2nd thoughts with this, since the review on YT says it cant take the mud off the car… vOila! it proved it wrong! With a 550 psi plus on Hi mode… mud under car and around the wheel was easily washed out…
Makes cleaning so much easier without dragging a power cord around with you. Battery convenience. From cleaning patio to washing cars it so much easier now.
Ive had a good experience with this power washer. I think most of the negative reviews stem from not understanding how it works or incorrect use. Obviously it's way more powerful than a water hose. It would be nice if they had a shorter wand accessory available or came with a long and short wand, like throw in a minimal size wand. Although who knows if it would be effective.
Best way to clean coils is with low pressure not to damage them. I use this when water is not available, and needs to be packed in. 5 gallons of water is all you need with this tool. It draws the water from the container. A 8ah battery will last about 30 minutes. You can't beat the price, and makes the job a lot easier.
So the product is great, but the hose connection should be tougher, yes I have used it a fare bit since I got (about 3 weeks) but the hose connections to the washer it self are weak, this is where there needs to be an improvement as mine has broke but don't even know how. It split at the part that is in side the quick connect so not sure how, but also replacement parts should be a little more available
Good for small job but you should definitely offer the possibility to buy a shorter wand for jobs in restricted space.
The idea of being able to bring a pressure washer anywhere is awesome. The first couple times I used it I was quite pleased with the results. However both hose connect options are very weak components and developed issues almost immediately. The hose connect for the portable hose provided by dewalt developed a small crack in the plastic and no longer seals properly - which doesn't allow the device to properly build pressure. It's become an intermittent squirt gun at best. The garden hose hook up worked slightly longer, but the weight of a standard garden hose hanging off the bottom was enough to stress the the plastic and cause it to fully snap in two. (See photo) I have used this less than half a dozen times and it is 100% broken at this point.
This is a light duty washer that is easy to use and for smaller jobs easier than setting up and running a full size unit. The only complaint I have is that the hose to quick disconnect connector is plastic, and it broke really easily. This design was meant for a stationary unit not for one that is hand held. There is no strain relief for the hose so any type of side loading from the hose will easily snap the connector, making the tool useless. There should be a clip at the bottom of the handle to clip the hose to to take the weight. There are no spare parts available at the store, and for any store that sells these, it should be an off the shelf option. It would be a better design to ditch the filter and connect the hose right to the unit and to make that piece out of brass. It worked great until the connector broke so I'm disappointed with the product because I can not locate a replacement connector. This is not the dewalt quality I'm used to.
Have had many Dewalt products. Knew it wasn't going to be as powerful as an electric power washer but please don't waste your money on this.I had to use both of the chargers to clean my lawn tractor---and it wasn't that dirty!! I would have taken it back to where I purchased it but since I used it---I'll live with it. I just know now to use it on minimal projects!! PS: Dewalt--you didn't get any points with this product! If this would be considered for a stock purchase you would be down graded to SELL!
