I've had the 20 volt dewalt cordless impact driver for about 8 years now. I remodel houses and the tool has performed flawlessly for all the remodels I have done. I'm still using the same batteries that it came with and they still hold a charge extremely well. I would definitely buy again when this one needs replaced. After loving a Dewalt Hammer drill I owned I decided to buy myself this impact driver. This easy to use adjustable speed driver is a fantastic tool. Unfortunately the Bluetooth app needs allot of work. But it has saved me from loosing this tool in the past. Unfortunately I Koop getting locked out of the app which makes it hard to stay connected to the tools. I wanted to be able to track battery use so that I could keep working until my phone pings me to let me know it's getting low, but since it keeps disconnecting I cannot use this feature. I wish the app would keep me logged in. This said the tool itself is a fantastic peace of hardware. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This thing is high tech. I started with the tool connect tags to keep track of my inventory, and loved the security and piece of mind it gave me. Not to mention when everyone knows you're tools are essentially lo-jacked, no one attempts to walk off the job with them. Loved the whole idea. So Naturally when I decided to buy myself a new impact driver, I was excited to see what else the Tool Connect line could do. Unbelievable. This puppy can do everything but find my keys..(had to add a tag to my keyring for that.) I can look to see the battery level when I'm at the truck so my guys don't have to climb off the roof if it dies. It alerts me and I grab one when I'm nearby. Keeps them moving. If their building cabinets or something requiring an easy touch to prevent slipping or stripping, I can have them hold the button for a second and dial the speed or precision drive impact delay exactly how it should be for optimal performance without being in the same room... for 3 different settings. If its a newer operator not familiar with the settings, the home setting is just flat out the best performing impact I've used in a straightforward fallback setting at a button. Even tracks temp, trigger pulls, time operating, and internal function and coin battery, as well as tracking and last seen. Lend mode shuts down after 10 hours so neighbors actually return it promptly unless they need.n expensive paper weight. Just awesome. No complaints whatsoever with the tool. Just make sure you don't let your phone die with the "Disable If Out of Range" feature enabled when your hanging drywall on a bathroom ceiling unless you have another driver close. Bluetooth goes and the tool locks down when enabled. But I can hardly blame the driver for my absent mindedness or for a feature functioning perfectly. Beyond anything I'd imagined. Upgrading my whole crew to them. Out did yourself on this one DeWalt.

I have always used dewalt and have always thought it is the best out thier. I have never had any problems with any of thier tools thier new batteries last even longer and charge really fast. Dewalt makes thier tools better and better every year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was given this as a Christmas gift two years ago. Love the quick change feature. Able to change working tips with ease.

I bought this impact driver recently, and the blutooth function only worked the first time. A few weeks later when I wanted to do it again it no longer worked. This was a disappointment as the tool is only around 3-4 weeks old. I suspect it could be the vibrations in the tool that is hard on the electronics. The button still works, but no longer takes you into bluetooth-mode. The bluetooth-functions themselves in the app is more advanced than I expected, and pretty smart. It does complement the tool without being just fancy with no real value. The tool feels like it gets hot fairly quickly. I believe I ran it warm enough that it just barely lost a littlebit of it's grease, all though the machine was new and I could be wrong. The collet insert is genius, being one-handed. But the collett/insert has a very loose tolerance. With a 7 inch bitholder you get about 3/8 inch wobble. It does feel like other impact driver set screws more easily into material with long bitholders. Power-wise the tool has decent power, but I wish it did have a little more. Dewalt should step up their game, considering that many other manufacturers have more powerful impact drivers. I recommend the tool, but also recommend Dewalt to make new impact drivers that are better.
