[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dewitt 20 Year weed barrier is a great way to stop those pesky weeds from popping up! Works great in areas where you're going to lay rock in beds where you're going to have plants. It's easy to cut and lay it out; you just lay it according to the shape of the bed(s) and use fabric stakes to keep them solid and secure to the ground. Hoping this lasts for as long as it says and keeps unwanted weeds from growing! Thanks!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This landscape fabric has been working wonderfully. I have been using it along the edges of my house because I have a small strip of people rock that I've really been having a hard time keeping weeds from growing out of every book and cranny. This fabric has worked so very well with keeping the weeds from growing up through my paver rocks and alongside the perimeter of the house.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This roll is large enough for most garden projects. I like how it's rated for 20 years. It's a lot of work to clear the ground, level it, lay the fabric, plant the plants and then mulch over. You don't really want to redo that often. The material seems to be quality and I expect it to hold up over time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried many different brands of landscape weed barrier fabric over the years. This was my first time using DeWitt 20 year 4.1oz, 4'x250' Home and Commercial Weed Barrier Fabric and let me tell you I was not disappointed. Not at all. I decided to do my fall mums in a new garden and used the DeWitt weed barrier fabric. It was easy to install and use. It did exactly as it was supposed too and it's been a little over a month and not one weed has managed to show up. I'm extremely impressed because the other stuff I've used in the past within a month I was having to pull weeds. The quality is fantastic as well. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new, no weeds, flower garden. I absolutely can't wait until next spring to redo all of my gardens with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This barrier fabric works out perfect for me. I like to grow my own fruits and vegetables at home. I have about half an acre dedicated to this, so a barrier to protect affect weeds helps me out a whole lot. The fabric is good, and it's noticably keeping the weeds from sprouting out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weed barrier cloth roll includes a good amount of yardage to cover a large garden bed. It is very easy to lay down, and feels like good quality. It seems like it will last longer than similar products you would buy at a Home and Garden store. We will see how it holds up, but so far I am impressed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has been great to work with. It feels very.durable and makes it simple to cover irregular shaped beds. The durable feel of this material gives me confidence regarding its ability to last.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This landscaping fabric for weed control is heavy duty and made to last. It's versatile and can be used anywhere you need help with weeds. This is a big roll but easy to lay out and cut to size. With some sharp scissors this cuts like fabric. It did roll up alittle at the edges but not a big deal. This makes for a great barrier to help keep flowers and vegetables looking good without the hassle of weeding. Overall Very impressed with the professional grade quality of this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking for something where we don't have to put chemicals down as we try to avoid this whenever possible. I think time will tell if it lasts as long as expected, but so far it has been good. The fabric feels tough but it seems that water is able to get through the barrier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a LOT of woven fabric in my garden and on my farm, but I have never bought nor encountered this plastic fabric with a felt backing. I don't know how it's going to stand up or even last for 20 years when this felt is going to become wet and heavy with mud after only one season's usage. I won't be able to comment on its longevity until I've used it. I like that it comes NOT folded. Sometimes when you buy the 6' or 8' wide rolls, they fold it in half before rolling it, so then you have this crease that you have to work with to get it to come out so the fabric lies flat. This isn't creased nor bent, just felt backed. You get a 4' wide roll of it. Thickness is good. The felt adds to that, so I figure it's part of the 4.1 oz. weight that they advertise. The stuff I normally use is only 3-3.1 ounces, so it doesn't feel as heavy as this one. Both work. The thickness is more about longevity and being able to re-use the fabric over and over year after year. It can be quite an investment to buy a big roll, so you really want something that'll stand the test of time. As with all weed barriers that I've used, it's usually marked with stripes every 1' so it's easy to measure out if you have to cut it. Again, I won't be able to confirm nor test this until next season when I start to use it, but I'm wondering if the felt backing will keep it from fraying as it tends to do once you cut it. In the past I've had to use a torch to seal/melt the edges so that the little black strings didn't go all over the place and get on my equipment or around my plants. I just hope the felt isn't prone to catching on fire because if it is, then I'll only be able to use this fabric in places where I don't have to cut it.
