i really like this it fit my loveseat perfectly. it has tags inside to show which side to put it on an where to put it over the arm rests. super soft material too
This item is awesome, I'm very pleased with it!
This was a good deal for the price. It's very heavy but worth it once it's set up, it's much more comfortable than the thinner ones without springs and much cheaper than other thick futon mattresses. It does stand up just fine once you pull it up and kind of fold it.
I replaced a 1yr old polyester filled mattress that was flat and uncomfortable. I like the basic firmness of the springs, nice covering. Initially was hard to bend to sitting position (needed help). I find this comfortable, nice for sitting and have had some guests sleep on it with no complaints. Hopefully this will last longer than a year!
Pros and Cons : Well made and good materials throughout. Shipped here very quickly. We went from a 10" to this 8", and now that looks like a mistake. We are both normal weight and as soon as you sit on this , it bottoms out and you can feel the 'bars' under it from the futon frame. The 10" we had , not even close to doing that. In my opinion, the springs in this needed to be more heavy duty . Anyways , we ordered a 2" foam to go under this mattress . If you're used to a 10" , replace it with a 10" .
It says in the description that this mattress is firm and it is not. When you lay down you sink into it because the mattress flattens under you a lot. It's eight inches deep but when I sit on it then it smashes to about four and a half inches deep where you are sitting. I do not like it but it will be too hard to pack a mattress up for a return or try to get to a store so I guess I'm keeping it.
Well this mattress for one isnt made very well. Its only been a week and it already has springs misaligned inside it. Everyone who sits on it , bottoms it out and no ones heavy here. It really needs an inch of foam on top and bottom when it was being made. I'm going to have to get warranty because of the springs out of whack.
Fabric feels like asphalt. It's 8" thick, HOWEVER the springs and padding are of the weakest quality. I'm 5'10, 180 lbs, and I sink right to the bars of the frame. The plastic tuffs aren't even centered lol. Sadly it's no better than the 5 year old 6" futon I'm trying to replace. I'm starting to think the positive reviews were all paid for. I genuinely cannot understand how anyone can sit or lay on this. I will give this another "48 hours" to decompress from the vacuum seal trip it made, However if this review remains unchanged, that means so did the futon mattress. This is GARBAGE. You've been warned...
The mattress flattens out, but it is awful on the futon frame. It does not smooth out and looks terrible. I would love to return it, but it's too heavy and packaging material had to be cut to get the product out. I waited the 48 hours for it to come to form as recommended, but no change. Please advise as to how I can make this look normal. Very dissatisfied.
A few years ago, we bought a DHP innerspring futon mattress that we loved. We used it primarily as a couch with occasionally using it as a guest bed for visitors. We eventually sold it and bought a traditional couch which we did not like. So we decided to go back to the futon mattress, but they didn't make the same one we bought before. However, this one was the same brand, same description, same features as our previous mattress. But the quality is absolutely awful. It's less cushy and comfortable. And when we try to fold it into a couch, you really can't do it, You have to basically jam this extra fabric down into the crack of the fold, and it creates this giant lumpy wrinkle where your butt sits. Not built to be a couch, and not even comfortable as a bed. I am very disappointed and planning to return.
