Great Quality

RCross February 13, 2017

I was surprised at the quality of the ukulele. At this price I expected something so-so. It's actually very well made. My son uses this same brand at school. I bought this ukulele so he could practice at home. The only thing that drives me crazy is that he gets out of tune quickly. But apparently that's the issue with all Ukuleles at first.

Ukulele

JoeB December 22, 2016

Got this for my granddaughter for Christmas. Seen others at flea markets for about the same price but was not half of what we got from walmart. Will give to heron Christmas and I hope she has many hours of fun at her house, not ours!

Great options for kids and beginners!

crafter4life November 29, 2018

This is our household's first ukulele. I knew I didn't want to buy a professional level, expensive instrument right off the bat, but I didn't want a toy either. I wanted a middle ground, inexpensive instrument that we wouldn't be out a lot of money as it got beat up by us trying to learn. I bought this for the whole family to learn and practice on, but mainly for my kids. They are on the younger side for starting to learn instruments, so their hands are still too small to play something larger like a mandolin or banjo. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised at the sound quality for such an inexpensive uke! I did spend up for a set of Aquila strings that I saw suggested in other reviews, and those make a huge difference in how the instrument plays. Even with the strings that came with sounded pretty good though. I left them on for a while just while we all started to get the feel for it. It is fun to play and pretty easy to pick up, actually since there are a ton of informative videos online of how to play. The best part is watching my kids play and start learning to love creating music! This is a great option for kids and beginners, I'm so glad I found it!

Good Product For Beginner

AuntieRed September 1, 2013

I like this product for a starter instrument. However, the wood finish had some blemishes in it. I will probably upgrade the instrument in time.

Better to save and spend a little more

Woodcutterron April 7, 2013

This uke is is about one step above a toy, really, but for the price, is acceptable. Just know that if you like playing, within a matter of weeks you'll wish you bought something a a lot nicer. The Oscar Schmidt OU2 for example. For another 30 bucks, you'll get a uke that can take you all the way from rank beginner on up to doing small gigs if you want to. I wish Walmart carried the Soprano Oscar Schmidt ukulele, because it IS a quality ukulele. But if you want to only spend thirty bucks, this is as good as any other 30 dollar uke out there. The intonation drops off pretty bad by the time you get to the fourth and fifth frets, and is almost unplayable as you move closer to the body down the fretboard. But for casual playing in the first four fret area, it'll be 'passable. My 1 year old granddaughter has this model in yellow. It has withstood "1 year old" instrument handling pretty well, even withstanding an "El Cabong" to our poor dog, lol. (Older folks will know who El Cabong is, Quickdraw McGraw) It's playable enough that I play it for fun if I'm too lazy to walk across the living room to pick up one of my Oscar Scmidts or my Epiphone Les Paul ukes. Putting Aquila Titanium strings on it improves the sound a lot. The strings on it are junk, but hey . . .it's a 29 dollar uke.

Good, not exellent

Ukerevs February 29, 2016

This uke is of fair quality... It's slightly cheap, but would recommend. Comes with plastic strings: no noise with cords & my friend who is a seasoned uke-er ended up snapping the strings just by strumming when it had never been truly played. So, replace the strings. Good uke, not superb quality, would still recommend

Great For Beginners!

MSUgirl September 23, 2017

this ukulele goes out of tune quite a bit, but it is a great ukulele to start out with! once you learn how to play and like the ukulele, I recommend buying a better one. (to fix it going out of tune a lot, pull each string no more than half an inch of the fret board a few times each, that should fix it)

Decent Starter

ukulover February 27, 2017

Good starter. Gets very out of tune after every use. Strings are plastic.

Do Not Buy..

Kiki July 28, 2017

Terrible Quality. Definitely would NOT recommend to anybody. This Ukulele is almost impossible to play a full song, without it going out of tune. Please save your money and do not but this product.
