Dickies are a work icon, and apparently, an urban fashion statement. I couldn't wear them for years while in the oilfield, but have had non-oilfield jobs, where the employer specified Dickies, though some did not reimburse. I have had part-time jobs where I supplied pants and shirt for an informal uniform, just because it was easier than worrying about what to wear. A lot of people think their jeans size will work for Dickies. Nope. I have to go up 1 inch because Dickies won't stretch like jeans. A lot of people try to be cool by wearing them far below the natural wsist line. Doesn't work with Dickies unless buying them about 4 inches bigger in waist. Speaking of waist, Dickies are meant to be very high, like up to the belly button. Hips are far bigger than waists. Some ignorant folks buy by waist size, then attempt to wear way down on hips. Dickies don't really work well for big belly people, or low riders. When I had a big edema problem, I bought bigger Dickies, but they never really look sharp on heavy people. I am getting close to normal BMI, which makes me look sharp in my true size Dickies. I like the roomy legs, which makes them cooler than jeans. They also hold their shape well when you are sweaty from the heat. When jeans would be all stretched out and weighing you down, Dickies still look pretty sharp, and are lightweight. In theory, many of us favor all-cotton pants, but I have some all-cotton trousers that get baggy-looking in an hour. You can work all day, and Dickies look decent. They also dry really fast. If I wanted to complain about something, I'd mention it is hard to get the folds in the legs ironed out. I am afraid to go higher than low heat. I won't deduct a star for that, since I am no ironing hand.
Dickies are the only way to go if you do any type of psychical/outdoor work. I purchased 2 pairs of Dickies and 2 pairs of another brands work pants at the same time (starts with W). The Dickies are still going strong, no rips, tears, holes, or missing stitching. I cannot say the same for the other brand, one pair literally tore on day one and the other gave out on the 3rd wear. Don't waste your money on other brand work pants, these pay for themselves in the long run.
Needed last-minute dress pants when our suits didn't arrive in time for important business meetings — these worked well as a replacement. Can't say much for how he felt in them, but he looked very handsome. Dickie's quality speaks for itself at this point.
These are the same pants I have wore fore work for the past 8 years! The only bad thing I have to say about the last one I received was that I ordered 34 32 and the were missed marked and I received 32 34! The tag on the inside of the pants say 34 32 but they are not! Also the belt loops are narrower than usual. My belt is hard to get through the loops and Is the same belt I use with all my other dickies!
I bought these pants for my boyfriend expecting a better quality because of the brand reputation for Dickies. I was very disappointed. First of all, they ran smaller than expected. Second, they have very little stretch. Third, the zipper is very cheap and hard to use. We ended up returning these and purchasing a different brand. The price is not cheap enough to put up with the low quality and lack of comfort. I won't be purchasing this brand again unless they change their quality.
As far as quality they are great but I had to make 4 trips back to Walmart to get the correct size for my dad. He has always for fifty years worn the same size dickie pants and now he has had to go up two sizes to fit an no he hasn't put on weight. All his other pants still fit including his old dickies.
The one pair I bought when I removed the size sticker wouldn't completely come off. And resulted in a whole in them before I could wear them. Also the size of these pants were no where close to my normal waste size. I wear normally a 38 relax fit in jeans. These were a 44.
Ordered Dickies 874 pro series flex work pants . Received 11874 original fit. Not what I ordered . Don't fit. 34x30 is the size I ordered received 32x30. They don't fit. Should of had Boot Barn get them. Would have paid more but my order would have been correct.
PANTS NEVER RECEIVED ! DRIVER NEVER DELIVERED ! SOME ITEMS FROM WALMART YOU MAG NEVER GET! THEY EITHER KEEP %26 STILL CHARGE YOU OR EITHER DRIVER TAKES ITEMS . EITHER WAY YOU NEVER GET THESE TYPE OF ITEMS! SHOWED IN STOCK %26 CHARGED BUT NEVER RECIEVED
WAY small in measurements ... oredered 34 inch waist, tags said 34x34, like supposed to.be, but looked like would fit a 8 year old kid. couldnt get even one lef in them if tried. wasnt just a misprint, all 4 pairs were same. returned at store. Even went to mens dept. at local.store, checked others.. would have took a size 56 to.get on my waist according to the sizings, and all were WAY to short. Dickies normal size i wear is 34x34 , which when buy at Grainger or bi mart, fit fine... whole rack at wally world muat have been made on a monday by a whole crew with a hangover... RedKap, Dickies,Key workclothes have all dropped in quality , but this time amazes me.... things went downhill with over seas mfg. 🤦♂️
