Digimon: The Official First Season (DVD)

I bought this DVD when it was half of what it would normally cost. I was going to get it for Xmas but I decided to go ahead and buy it now. The video and audio quality is great and there seems to be no problems with it. For 8 disks and 54 episodes this is not a bad deal at all. It helped me remember a time when things were simpler and my only concern was what would Angemon's digivolution look like. The only thing I wish it had was more bonus features.

All 52 episodes with the original company's logo at the end of each episode. It really brings back memories! However, there's only one SMALL thing wrong with it. Some of the character data in the booklet is wrong. It's not that big of a deal.

This is one of few anime series that I've seen that both children and adults can enjoy. It has very clean humor, plenty of good jokes, warm friends, and memorable characters. Like any series, don't judge the whole concept by its later episodes. The newer digimon stuff is nothing like this, the one and only, absolutely amazing first (and best) season. Digimon was a tremendous part of my childhood, and it made my heart flutter to finally see it on DVD, and know someday my children will get to enjoy it too. The product was perfect. Beautiful discs, decent case. And best of all, no Angela Anaconda and Power Ranger commercials ruining it like they did all those years ago.:) Digimon's one and only downfall is the Digivolving "cutscenes" get rather obnoctious after you've seen them the first few times. But this is a fault well worth overlooking for there is a fun, exciting adventure wrapped around them.

All episodes of the original first season. After years of waiting. The episodes are all great quality video. Love the season; excellent value!

This copy has the full first season which I have been looking for for a while. The price is amazing value since the last time this set was released it was over $100

Digimon Season 1 is among the best in animated cartoon series. For those with an inclination toward science fiction and quality characterization, Digimon won't disappoint. I still find honesty and value in its presentation of the story and I'm now in my mid-twenties. Walmart's price is exceptionally reasonable, so grab it if you can! There are a few small quality issues with the product (line shadowing on the screen in a few episodes; some mix-ups in the printed booklet accompanying the discs). However, this detracts very little. Highly recommended for your collecton and viewing pleasure!

This is lllooonnnggg overdue! Somebody officially releasing the digimon seasons on dvd this should've been done over 5 years ago.

Includes the entire First series from entering the Digiworld all the way through the Dark Masters. The video and audio are great for a show that came out in the pre-HD era. THe only downside to this set is that there is no option for the Japanese audio or subtitles.

The quality of the video on the dvds are excelent! The only couple of things I found wrong with the packaging was first there was a gramar error in the booklet and then the cd case doesnt stay closed very well!

It was on sale for a very short period of time and I wish I caught it then. Even though it's a bit expensive, my daughter really loves it and has been enjoying watching the show again.
