The device worked as advertised. It was a great value for the money.

For the price it can't be beat! (*only ten bucks!) It also arrived quickly, shipping very fast. Optical cable was included and is long enough for most uses. I used it to hook up my TV to the home stereo. The "power cable" is just a standard 3.5mm barrel connector with a USB plug on the opposite end that will plug into a TV USB jack or any standard USB charger/phone charger/adapter. Took about 30 seconds to hook up...nothing special needed. Plug and play. 2 RCA (left %26 right) outputs plus an additional 3.5mm standard mini headphone output which could also be used to feed another amp, recording input, or headphones. It might not be an audiophile's dream but it's doing well and sounds great...especially for the low price. TIP: You might need to configure your TV or audio gear output setting to "Optical Out" if you don't hear any sound. This is a "dumb" piece of gear and needs nothing else to work, and I would not hesitate to get another one if the need arises. Highly recommended. I am not being paid for this review, and I only review "things" that impress me, be it quality or price. This is both. I gave it Five-Stars for overall function, price, and appeal.

not bad. I was shocked it actually came with a TOSLINK or S/PDIF cable. its a thin one, but it works. the 5v dc cable does not include a power brick. I only tried the s/pdif to 3.5mm which works okay. it may be loud.

Package came complete with everything I needed to connect my new TV optical audio output into my older stereo system RCA input. Setup took less than 5 minutes and everything sounds great!

Converter Box lights up and is easy to hookup wires; but my Samsung smart TV will still not work with my old external speakers. Not sure where problem is, so I cannot give a complete review.

I have a new Vizio tv and I was trying to have the sound come from the tv and my stereo in my living room. It's a static feedback on the newer tv. In my bedroom on the older tv, it works fine.

It did not work be cause there was no power supply, as was promised. Wal Mart cancelled the charge and did not ask for the unit to be reimbursed. But i am getting a power supply, and also a better quality coaxial to RCA converter (did i really expect good quality for $10?). So now i have spent $20 and i hope this one works.
