USB digital voice recorder with playback

Jean September 12, 2026

Nice little recorder that does everything it says it does, which means it does everything I need for it to do. My focus is keeping it always with me because I am writing a book and will have random thoughts that I'd like to include, but afraid of not being able to recall exactly what I thought when I go to write it in. With this, I can hear myself say and describe the thought with the emphasis of how it first entered my mind. I'm sure there are tons of other uses one might put this device to, but that one is my own focus. I can see it being useful for all sorts of little reminders that you review at your leisure, making lists on the fly, etc. I can just transfer the current contents to my desktop to hold until I decide where those contents will be individually stored for future use, then have a nice empty plate to fill up again. It's very small, but doesn't feel terribly fragile, the functions are easily accessible without a lot of figuring things out every time. The playback feature is the BEST!

Really good so far

Dee September 9, 2026

BEHOLD AND WITNESS MY REVIEW: REALLY GOOD FOR AN MP3 PLAYER Firstly, the audio quality: It's actually far better than I expected, especially given the recorder's size. It captures background sound really well, which makes it perfect for meetings or lectures. As long as you don't… y'know, talk really close to the mic like I did, you shouldn't have any issues with the signature “crackling” sounds of potato mics. And in terms of transferring audio files (which is actually far simpler than you think, coming from someone who can hardly troubleshoot a computer), make sure your file is of good quality on its own, and you should be good to go. The storage space is surprising, coming in at a whopping 8GB, which is… not a lot, but more than enough for a device I can fit in my hand! It comes precharged and uses USB-C; the headphone and microphone jacks work well, the settings are easy to navigate once you get the hang of it, and the screen brightness works well, too. Overall, really good quality, and I'm very satisfied and fully willing to walk around with this like Jonathan Sims and yap into the mic about anything (iykyk).

A Quality %26 Easy to Use Digital Audio Recorder

Lawrence September 2, 2026

This was a surprise to me... a very nice quality device, which works well, and as advertised, for about $20. The sound is adequate and understandable with the small speaker, but when you transfer the files to your computer, you can hear that they are of a very good quality. I tried both the 512kbps it is set on out of the box, and the highest 1536kbps. There does seem to be a quality improvement... and with this 16GB version, that is supposed to hold 24 hours of audio. I also tested renaming the audio files while connected to the computer, and it does allow this. Your rename shows up on the recorder's screen, as you can see in one of my pictures. This is a VERY handy feature, if you are out in the field and need to find a file. But the best thing about this is the ease of use: You flip on the slide switch, then press "record", and you are good to go. Then when you finish, you press "SAVE". The list of all your files appears and you can quickly scroll them, and play which ever you want with another press of "PLAY/PAUSE". It may sound silly to point this out, but I've used a couple of more expensive, name brand units, and I often find myself needing a refresher course in recording, saving, and playing... they make you go through so many other steps for those very simple tasks. The quality is wonderful, too... although that cheap chrome plating is something I've never liked on "import" electronics. But the case seems to be metal and nicely finished. This has a very nice feel to it, all around. As people point out, it is very small. I have large hands, and have no problem with it. All in all, I am not only impressed with what you get for the price, but even if this was a more expensive unit, with "Sony" or "Olympus" on it, I would appreciate the quality, features, and sound. Highly recommend!

My memory helper

susan September 6, 2026

I love this thing. I can recode things I need to do, this is perfect for me because I don't always remember them sometimes. This fits in the palm of your hand so you can use it for ever where you need it. You got to get one.
