I purchased this item along with a cassette player to convert the cassette content to digital format. This item had good reviews and was seemingly plug and play so I don't doubt its capabilities or ease of use. Unfortunately, walmart sold me a cassette player that was actually out of stock so it was cancelled and I no longer had the need for this item.
Very good and affordable solution to create digital copies of your cassette tapes. Easy USB plug and play with no driver installation needed on Windows 10. Sound quality of captured sound is very good. Includes a copy of Audacity audio editing software (very capable freeware). However, you may want to directly download the latest version instead of the (older) version in the box. I am using this gadget to transfer older audiobooks I own on tape with good success using a portable Walkman type player.
Real nice little audio gadget at a great price.. I have tons of tape cassettes from the 80's and 90's that I can transfer to my MacBook Pro computer. It uses a free Audacity program to record tapes to MP3. Comes with a manufacturer's warranty and customer support.
I had a voice recording of a deceased relative on a cassette that i was trying to digitize to preserve it and share it with the family. However, I could not get my laptop to recognize an aux cord from the cassette deck as an input source. This converter worked without any setup on my windows 10 computer, I just plugged it in and I was able to start recording in Audacity within seconds.
Plug and play. I'm using other software (OBS) and haven't tried the one with it. The conversion is an excellent sound quality (I'm not an audio expert but sounds good to me on Joni Mitchell's songs that have a lot of tone to differentiate.) OBS recognizes the converter and saves when you record. So it works!
Arrived on time. Easy to used and connect to my laptop. Did the sound transfer files without any issues.
I'm confused by some of the other reviews, using the CD enclosed to load the audio software it was very easy to start recording and making mp3's I didn't even need to use any instructions. Very impressed by the low cost and it actually worked!

They said it's for Mac and PC and i have 2 Macs. None of them work for the Mac. Waste of time and money.
