the colors are beautiful. the mesh is way too stiff for my liking but will reserve full judgement until project is completed.

I'm throwing in the towel on this one
I've done several latch hook kits but this one was disappointing in a number of ways. First, the mesh backing is so stiff that every piece of yarn is a battle to put in. Secondly, the yarn comes in multi-colored bundles so you have to sort out the colors before starting. Finally, the yarn is quite short so difficult to latch. The only positive was that the pattern was clearly imprinted on the mesh. I wouldn't recommend this kit, especially for a beginner who could easily become discouraged at the effort it takes to do this project.
