I was surprised how nice the fit was in my fire place and the flames are great. I didn't need the heat but it works if needed

We had ordered another model, but while it was on it's way, did some more measuring, decided it won't fit. Ordered this model, Just fit in perfectly, like it was made for our firebox We are really enjoying the features. I have just begun using my new Dimplex electric fireplace insert and I am really enjoying the realistic flames - the heating feature is nice as well. The fireplace insert was packed well, and arrived on schedule.

my old fireplace was unusable....over 3K in order to make it that way....I painted the inside black and used it as just a visual "feature"...I think painting it black helped...This insert fit perfectly...had a PERFECT fire ambiance to it...and the blower/heater puts out just the right heat giving the effect of a low grade fire...I LOVE IT!!! totally transformed my living room back in to the cozy space that it was. I would totally recommend this...I'm happy!

I bought this fire insert online as it was cheap and I was not sure it would fit within the fire surround I had at home, well it did fit and it looks fine, it has a remote control which turns the flame effect on, gives a homely cosy feeling even without the heat.

this looks way more realistic than what i thought it would !!! beautifull !! fit nicely into my fireplace, that has been out of commission for a while now. it does heat nicely, very quiet. tho i thought it would blow a bit harder than it does. the room we have it in is bout 13ft-by- 20ft, with a large open doorway, & you can feel the heat difference when you walk into the room. very nice for the money.

I bought this unit because I like the ambiance of a fire but I hate having to deal with the mess of the wood. This fit nicely in my firplace and I like that I can turn it on and instantly have a 'fire' without waiting while the fire grows. I have found that I like the flame only option when you want the ambiance but don't necessarily need the heat. You must realize this is not designed to heat your house, but rather supplemental heat or to heat a small room. I think it's a very cool product and the flame is pretty realistic looking. I've had friends think that it was real! I gave it a 4 star because I had a bit of an issue with the cord to get it plugged in, in the future if I decide not to use the fireplace, I may see about having an outlet put inside the fireplace like they do on gas firplaces that have a fan. Overall it is a great item

This product absolutely would not work for us. Puts out very little heat for the money. The metal on the top of the unit where the heat vents gets super hot. Cost me $60 Freight to return it plus a $20 restocking fee. I'm not happy at all.

i bought this insert thinking it would be an attractive alternative to our wood fireplace, i ordered it on a wednesday and recieved on friday. When we opened the box and looked at it was cheaply made, the logs are made of styrofoam and the screen behind it is ok but, when it is lit up it looks like it has a round shape to it. if you just want something to set in your fireplace i suppose it would be ok. im going to send this back it is not what we wanted. its cheap and as far as the heat goes you have to be right up on it to even feel it. I do not reccomed this product to anyone
