I had a leaky joint on a pvc pipe not under pressure. I used this tape after watching the video on how to use it. It's a little tricky as it doesn't have any adhesive to stick to the pipe just friction from a tight wrap. It won't work unless there is 360 degrees access around the object you are trying to fix. So far so good. The installation video was a big help.
Every home should have this product! Some many problems can be solved by knowing how to use this Silicon Tape. I have used many different versions over the years and this one is equal and at the right price. I have fixed things on my boat, truck, and lawn mower with this tape. I have used this to a fix leaky shower head and the drains under my sink. Too many fixes to list. I highly recommend this product!
I bought this to fix a leak in an old drain pipe, which it did. Much cheaper and easier than replacing the pipe. I'll replace it eventually but this is good stuff to be able to put off replacing it for a while.
I use this to repair soaker hoses, which always seem to sprout leaks. Its the best thing Ibe used so far!
It was a quick and secure fix. It was hard to get the tape though. I had to order it because they didn't have it in the store either time I wanted it
This product is amazing!! We tried to stop a small leak in a pipe in our bathroom and nothing had worked. I decided to give this a try and I am so happy I did. The leak has stopped and we do not need to call a plumber.
Works great! I even add this whenever two garden hoses are joined together as insurance. But amazingly, I also used it to repair a broken tree branch, and it held!
Unfortunately, this did not work for what I needed it for and I still had a slight leak but I have purchased it in the past and it works well. Stretchy silicone helps to get a tight seal.
I bought a roll of Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Self-Fusing Silicone Tape and had 4 attempts, following the instructions, of sealing a pin-hole leak in a metal hot water pipe. It was a waste of time as the water just came out either side of the tape. Do not waste your time buying this product.
Had a simple 'drip' leak in my 3/4" copper hot water pipe from my hot water heater. It was at a seam where the plumber did a shoddy job of connecting. Did a ton of research and settled on this product but after applying - found the drip persisted. In theory this should have solved my problem, but in the end I spent $16 on a pipe cutter and a coupler to solve the problem
