Holes on the cardboard piece dont line up with the tubes. Instructions unclear. It will say connect piece A with mouthpiece. But doesn't tell you which way, or side of each piece to connect. They connect in multiple ways. On top of that the handles are hollow so all your ammo falls down into the handle. My kid is holding some pieces of white tube upside down. It's not functional or cool to look at.
Discovery Air Powered Blaster Fast shipping , nicely packed Comes with poster to teach kiddos about pressure. Assembly is super easy and blaster looks kinda cool after assembly. Comes with four targets. Comes with glow beads to shoot. Also comes with water swelling gelatin beads which are so much fun to just look at when they swell up. Good learning project with lot of fun for kiddos. Product age aside my little boys loving it.
The title is deceiving, it states ‘air' gun, so you'd probably think it's like those little pellet guns. First of all the ‘gun' comes in pieces, they look like pieces of pvc but it's plastic. There's no trigger. After you put it together it's a blow gun! The only air that's used is the air from your lungs! If it cost more than $7.00, I'd say don't buy cause it's not worth more than that! I'm sure kids might enjoy playing with it for a minimal amount of time and then they'd probably get bored with it.
Based on the picture on the box, I assumed this toy was more high quality than it is. In reality, you assemble the blaster using a bunch of plastic tubes and cover it with a cardboard cutout to make it look cooler. That being said, the kids did have fun putting it together and shooting the water beads and pellets at the targets until they lost them all.
The gun itself is easy to do and actually works. Instructions aren't clear especially for a child. The gun cover isn't properly aligned so you'll end up ripping the holes. I had to hot clue closed to stay shut. The water beads are okay but they don't really shoot out of but a few inches. The foam balls do and they definitely glow.
My daughter and I tried playing with this but it ended up being more work than seemed worth it. The instructions make it seem easy, but it's confusing and a lot of work. It's fun once we got it figured out though! Some more puzzle minded kids might find this more fun.
My eight year old only played with this the first time he got it. Since getting it, its been sitting in his toy box. There are alot of parts to this so get a gallon bag so you can keep it all together. Overall fun toy but only for a small amount of time.
The assembly of the blaster was not as easy as it looks. The blaster wrap is made of carton which can easily rip if you are not careful. My son has fun watching the expanding water beads grow and shooting the targets. It also comes with glow in the dark foam pellets that are fun to shoot in the dark. Overall my son had fun and also learned about air pressure.
I decided to try this blaster for my kids who love such toys. However, I was deeply disappointed as the instructions, although sounded easy, was not so to implement. The sheet for the encasing cannot be easily assembled around the tubes. The holes did not match the tube extensions. We had to get it to work by putting a lot of tape to make it look like it should be. The glow-in-the-dark "bullets" are awesome... they really glow very well when kids play in dark rooms. The beads also swell to nice size in water. I would recommend an adult help the child in making this contraption and then, of course, they can have hours of fun with it.
This is a good and just average review. It has to be put together, and the material is not heavy duty, stay together type. The directions are very simple to follow and it does not take long to put together. You put the tiny little pieces in the mouth piece and blow air and it shoots out. It comes with "water beads" that you can put in water and they expand. It fell apart really quick and now i have a bunch of tiny pieces around my house that i randomly find. Over all ot was fun for a bit, but overall maybe good as an outside toy.
