[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my granddaughter for her birthday. I always try to give educational things encouraging them to use their imagination. She absolutely loves this. She says she wants to finds bones. This kept her occupied for awhile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved this. It is very messy but that's what I think was the best part for him. He did love finding the the pieces also. It seemed like once it's put together it is pretty stable. He is looking forward to others already.

My kids are so big on dinosaurs right now I just knew they would love this so had to give it a try. This kit comes with 2 dinosaurs a raptor and a t-rex. Its so fun the pieces come in like a little rock like materiel (softer than rock) it comes with safety glasses and digging tools! This is where the fun begins you have to dig out the fossils to the dinosaurs before you can put it together. I really like that they didnt make it a ginormous and many small amount of pieces but it also still let's the child work for them. Once all of the pieces have been extracted and dug up, this awesome set builds into a 3d dinosaur skeleton. My kids found it so rewarding to have the completed project and their favorite dinosaurs I do with it came with some glue as a option but it does stay together fairly well without it. I am glad to have this set. Do you want you kid to be busy longer while doing your chores:Dinosaur fossil dig is a perfect educational decision . This is for kids 6+, but my 3,5 y.o son enjoyed a lot. So you can use for this range age too. It includes excavation tools: two fossilized skeletons , wooden mallet and chisel, goggles and brush. In each block you can find ferocious T-Rex or the speedy Velociraptor. Your kid will learn how to use tools and will be happy to dig and find bones and assemble a skeleton. My son and husband love love love dinosaurs. We got this escavation kit as a homeschool science project. My son had so much fun with his dad they didn't even let me try it out lol. I bought this set for my 6 year old who wants to be an archeologist when he gets old and is obsessed with dinosaurs and this was the best gift for him. He had so much fun pretending to be a real archeologist. It's so realistic and super fun. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four children ages 5-12 had a lot of fun with this kit. They took turns digging to find the pieces and then all helped build the Dinosaur. It's so hard to find an activity they can all do together so this set was perfect. This would make a great family gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so much fun to do. The whole family joined in to dig up fossils. It was almost real like. U can make your own display of extinct dinosaurs! It's so very easy to do also! No real physical labor is involved!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Discovery Excavation kit is amazing. It comes as one large solid square. There is a hammer, pick and small paint brush. You get to search through the block for 15 pieces of the dinosaur skeleton then put the dinosaur together. It allows for hours of fun with learning at the same time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this because our daughter is really into dinosaurs at the moment. The idea of this is really good and sounds fun. However, it takes a really long time to get to the fossils. It is a bit messy and kind of loud. The wood tools aren't the best which is why it takes so long. I understand it's for kids so sharp tools wouldn't be safe. I even tried wetting the clay and still was taking a very long time. Just wish it was a tad easier for the kids to break through to find the buried fossils.
