[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Discovery Excavation kit is amazing. It comes as one large solid square. There is a hammer, pick and small paint brush. You get to search through the block for 15 pieces of the dinosaur skeleton then put the dinosaur together. It allows for hours of fun with learning at the same time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so much fun to do. The whole family joined in to dig up fossils. It was almost real like. U can make your own display of extinct dinosaurs! It's so very easy to do also! No real physical labor is involved!

I got this for my 5-year-old who loves dinosaurs and it was a fantastic idea. These things are so freaking cool and she loves them. I would highly suggest this toy to anyone who has a little dinosaur lover in their lives. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had fun doing this with my 7 year old granddaughter, who is a big dinosaur fan! You are given tools to chip away at the plaster rock to unearth the bones of a T. Rex. You then put the bones together to build a 3D skeleton model. Bones are a thick plastic ,thick enough not to get damaged during the evacuation process and sturdy enough to piece together. This was fun and educational as well, introducing the science of paleontology. It took over 2 hours to complete, also introducing the virtue of patience! We placed the plaster in a shallow box to reduce the mess.

We have recently rediscovered dinosaurs together and this was a perfect product to have a little fun with the subject! We paired this with some lessons on dinosaurs and a good watch through of Jurassic Park and World, which also lead to a discussion about how the science has changed in 30 years. Wonderful!

He actually could picture himself digging and finding their bones. My grandson got a big kick out of thinking he was an archielogist. It is very realistic and Discovery toys are very educational. That's a plus. Its good to have fun and learn something while playing a game or toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my 6 year old nephew and he loved it. It kept him busy for hours. It does makea mess and lots of dust so I recommend doing it outside. If you do it inside, use a foil roaster pan and a plastic tablecloth to help with clean up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Discovery Mind-blowin - Toy Dinosaur Excavation kit Skeleton 3D Puzzle T-Rex 15pc, it was easy to work on and the dinosaur came out quite well, I really liked working on it, I would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a one time activity to excavate the bones which can still take about an hour or so. The chisel and hammer provided are wooden so not exactly the most efficient option but good in terms of safety for young kids. Once you excavated the bones- the assemble of the dinosaurs (2 in the pack) is fairly easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child lost interest in getting the pieces out of the blocks. I had to finish getting the dinosaur pieces out so they could assemble the pieces. It did not help getting the blocks wet per the instructions. Breaking the blocks resulted in a huge mess. The chalk dust gets stuck in stuff.
